Inappropriate?Currently we don't have any plans to support Passenger. We're still keeping an eye on it and might reconsider in the future.

HI Sam,
Currently we've got many irons in the fire. Supporting mod_rails isn't currently at the top of the list as most of our current customer base is quite happy with nginx. (In short, as of now, it's pretty far down on the list :) ) We're keeping an eye on the project and might schedule it for inclusion into a future release of the stack. -
Inappropriate? With the recent migrations of 37 signals and shopify over to passenger from the nginx -> haproxy -> mongrel (with monit restarts) setup, maybe EY can reconsider the priority of adding it as a stack option. Lower memory usage and a simplified stack would help prevent some of the issues we've had with this configuration. In the short term, it seems like this would make a bigger impact on more customers than all the internal efforts that seemed to be going towards rubinius and merb.
I’m hopeful

Hi Justin,
We're keeping an Eye on mod_ruby but we're still not ready to move our stack over to it. We'll be doing some internal evaluations to see if supporting it is an option for us.
