Can you clarify on/off vs. watch_friends on/off?
It is not entirely clear to me how this functionality is supposed to work, which may be related to the intermittent behavior reported elsewhere.
Are "on" and "off" as they apply to tracking topics completely independent of tracking friends? Or is watch_friends a subset of the main on/off stuff?
For example, if I am tracking 2 topics and 2 friends, does "off" stop all the traffic, or just the topics?

Inappropriate? That's about right watch_friends is intended to be a subset of twitterspy functionality, making it a sort of peer with tracks. There's no way to enable or disable tracks independently.
The friend stuff has that functionality because it uses your own API requests. Track uses mine. :)
off should prevent any messages from going to you or any resources consumed on your behalf.
I’m unconcerned
