Crashing repeatedly
The application opens, and says finding market, but then crashes before a location is found. Even after multiple iPHone restarts, this continues to happen.

In the next hour or so the App Store should let you upgrade to version 1.01 which won't crash in Washington DC. It will let you browse neighboring states. Let me know if anyone continues to have any problems!

Can you send me the following information so I can try to reproduce this?
1. Is it continuing to happen even now?
2. What version of iPhone or iPod Touch do you have, and how much memory does it have?
3. Where are you? (the address of a nearby business would be best, but zip code would do too)
If this problem is too frustrating to respond to or wait for a fix for, I'm willing to refund you the amount of the app if you want. Let me know, and we can figure out the Paypal or other arrangements.

I'm not really concerned about the $3, but just looking to make sure I can get the cool app to work. It is still crashing each time I open the application.
I am using a 3G (gen 2) 16G (8.6 G available) iPhone, with software 2.2.1 running. I am in Washington DC (Near 2121 I Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20052)

Okay, yes, I just got another report of the app not working in Washington DC. I'm going to patch this up (I need to see if I can find any Washington DC fruit and vegetable availability info) and submit a fix for the next release, but it will be at least a week before it's available in the iTunes store. Sorry about that! I hear that the app can work when you're in airplane mode, if you really want to try it out, even though that's obviously not a very good solution. If you change your mind about the three bucks, let me know. -

Inappropriate?Thanks Buster. Since I actually LIVE in Virgina (and work in DC) I'm thinking that the app will work while I'm at home (and checking out the farmers market in Falls Church VA). Have you considered adding the ability to type in a zipcode, instead of relying 100% on GPS? That might help this problem for some of us...1 Comment Add a comment

Yes, I think that is an interesting idea... I'm glad that now that the app is being used by people, I can see when GPS works and when a manual override might be better. I'll try to improve this for sure.

I too have the problem and I too live in DC. I have read the thread so I'll cut to the chase.Is the patch on the "next release" a free update or an additional purchase; if the latter I shall take Buster's offer of refund. Would prefer to wait as I have faith in the idea of this app ( not being able to use it yet, this is far as i can go.)
