I'd like to browse by Month within a location to know more about the future foods in season
Looking at my local area right now in the app (Oregon) nothing is in season and only a couple vegetables are coming soon. I'm most interested when say, strawberry season starts here in Oregon. I think it's around May, and I'm surprised it's not on the coming soon list. I can browse by food and find Strawberries but it only shows where it is in season now and soon (all states farther south than Oregon), but I kind of want to know when it'll get here.
Maybe instead of browse by state, which I can't see using unless I traveled and cooked while on the road (something I only do once or twice a year), I wish there was a way to go farther into the future.
How about on my results screen for what is in season, below in the coming soon section show everything that is coming up for the rest of the year, with a little month indicator in small text. That way I might learn in March that Apples come in season in Oregon in September and I'll say to myself "huh, I should remember to plan an apple orchard weekend in the early fall and maybe research some travel plans now, well ahead of time".

Inappropriate?Hi Matt!
Yes, actually, I'm strongly considering combining the "Food" and "State" tabs into a single tab (because I'm going to need an extra tab for a coming feature). If I do that, I will definitely add a "Time of year" dimension that will let you browse your current state by half-month (early and late). You're right, it is a little more useful that State, even though it might be a little depressing in some states.
Alternatively, I could also add a row to the food page that tells you how much longer until that food item is in season in your state, assuming that it will be at some point.
Which option do you think is better?
I’m interested

Inappropriate?I think the second option works, if the location food list can't be extended, then just jumping directly to strawberries and seeing the seasons coming in, in all states of the future would be good (since I know specifically what I want in this case).

Okay, I'll add that to the list of things to implement in the next version. -
Hey Matt, I've completed this feature, and it'll go out with the next update (after the one that's been "in review" gets approved). -
Sweet, can't wait to try it out. Thanks for making the change.
