Inappropriate? Are you still getting this problem? I think it was a temporary glitch that has since fixed itself. Try again and let me know if it's still happening, because there should be plenty of farmers' markets near you!
The company says
this solves the problem

No, I still get the following message: Hmm... sorry. We couldn't find any markets within 100 miles. miles. (yes, it says miles twice). I just returned from 12 days in Central and Northern CA. There were Farmer's Markets and CSA's all over the place, but I still got the same message up there. This doesn't work for me at all. :( Can you please either fix it for me, or provide a refund? Thank you! -
Okay, the new version of the app is now updated. If you have a chance, can you try it again after updating? -
Inappropriate?Which device are you using this on? I'd be happy to give you a refund (just let me know your paypal email address), but I'm curious if the update that's currently awaiting approval by Apple (which also fixes the embarrassing typo) will fix this too.
Sorry that this is happening. I haven't been able to reproduce it myself.

I have the same problem on an Ipod iTouch; is the Markets feature supposed to work on the iTouch?. -
Buster, I am using an iPhone. Isn't the application supposed to work with an iPhone since it has the GPS technology? Thanks! -
Peter, this should work on an iPod Touch when you are with a wifi-connection. It does rely on a remote service to find the nearby farmers' markets though... -
Buster, I'm located in Poughkeepsie, NY. Is it possible there are no markets within 100 miles?
How does Locavore know my location? I've looked for a way to enter it but can't find one. Again, I'm on WiFi on my iTouch. Thanks.

Getting farmers' market data will require a data connection of some sort (either an iPhone or a wifi-connection on an iPod Touch).
The version that has just been updated in the App Store will let you specify a zip code on the "About" tab... give that a try and see if it works better for you. It will need a data connection though, so be sure you're connected to wifi if you're on an iPod Touch.
I hope this helps make the app more useful for you! Let me know either way. -
Inappropriate?Hi Buster,
Will the update your are awaiting approval on from Apple (from your previous post) fix this problem? If so, when will this occur?
As it is, the application doesn't work for me. If you cannot fix it, may I please have a refund to my AmEx card?
Thank you!
I’m sad this doesn't work.

Let me know your Paypal email address and I'll refund you $3. I have no idea why it's not working for you in Corona. The update will have an improved geo-location feature, but I can't promise that it'll fix your problem. I'm okay with giving you a refund and if you want to check out the new version to see if it works, that would help me determine if this is an ongoing problem. Really sorry for the inconvenience of it all though. -
Inappropriate?I didn't pay for it on PayPal, I paid for it using my American Express credit card.
-
Yes, but I don't actually have your credit card information, as it all goes through Apple. I would be happy to refund you if you want, but I'll need a paypal email address or a mailing address that I can send a check to. Let me know either way.
