Is there an easy way (or anyway at all) to turn task into a project?
I'm using the Jott link. Some Jotts are projects, and some are tasks. I can't find a way to turn an Inbox item from a task into a project, without starting from scratch.

Inappropriate?Not so much at the moment. Should be a quick copy & paste in the interim, and we've discussed that as part of a potential subproject implementation, so it could happen.
