Cache fills my local drive when copying to external
I am copying from a remote to an external drive on my Mac as the internal is nearly full (just 6GB left).
However, what is likely a ExpanDrive cache fills up my local disk.
Can I adjust cache settings (eg to be on external)?

Inappropriate?Ian - how large of a file were you intending to copy. S3, SFTP, FTP?

Inappropriate?SFTP.
I was doing a tar of a large area (20GB) with the -gzip option on.
Maybe that is what was causing a large cache file.
As a work around, I am just doing drag'n'drop (obviously without compression) and that is working fine so far.
Thanks. -
Inappropriate?I spoke to soon... as soon as I start to copy a folder of several GBs to an external my local drive fills up :-(

Inappropriate?I'm also seeing a green light next to the mountname in Drive Manager even though I have ejected it.
(I _am_ logged in to the remote machine via a Terminal ssh still; does that confuse your software?) -
Inappropriate? As well as filling up my local drive when I am trying to copy to an external firewire drive, this approach is about 100x slower than the command line.
I've given up I'm afraid.
Don't suppose you do refunds?
I will check from time to time if things have become usable.
