Cannot connect to FTP server

I am unable to connect to some FTP servers. It seems that the problem is when the user name contains an '@' symbol. Cyberduck connects fine with the same credentials, but with ExpadDrive I just get a connecting status with no feedback or anything logged in Console.

I’m confused
