Destination Folder Access Denied when copying files from ExpanDrive

When I try to copy a file from an ExpanDrive folder to a local folder (i.e. my desktop), I get an error of "Destination Folder Access Denied" - "You need permission to perform this action". This happens both with CRTL-C/V and drag and drop. I can create/copy/modify files on the local folder just fine if the ExpanDrive folder is not the source.
