Error "This FTP server does not support ExpanDrive connections"
I am a paid user and ever since upgrading to version 2.0.4 I get the following error for all my drives "This FTP server does not support ExpanDrive connections". ExpanDrive worked fine until the upgrade, nothing has changed with the server setup. I am running ED on OSX 10.5.8. This us quite urgent since I exclusively work remotely and I am on a deadline.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Inappropriate?I rolled back to version 2.0.2 and I am back in business for now. In case anybody needs to grab an older installer, you can find them here...

Inappropriate?I hate to bring you bad news, but you really shouldn’t continue using ExpanDrive 2.0.2 with your FTP server. This issue is addressed in our faq which states:
This message means that your FTP server does not support the FTP REST command. This command is used to set the starting point for the data transfer commands (STOR and RETR), and we use it to implement random-access reads and writes. Unfortunately, ExpanDrive can not function correctly without the FTP REST command.
If you continue to use ExpanDrive 2.0.2 with your server it might appear to work correctly, but it also might fail unpredictable.

Inappropriate?Jon, thanks for the feedback. I am a little surprised to read your answer though. I've been using ED for over a year without any problems. If the 2.0.4 upgrade is my only option at this point I will have to stop using ExpanDrive all together since version 2.0.4 is not working for me.
I’m confused

Inappropriate?Jon, please advise how to get a refund for EpxanDrive then. I can't use/trust this product anymore at this time. Thanks.

Inappropriate?Send us an email at support@expandrive.com and we’ll figure something out for you, Kai.

Inappropriate?I don't mind if the fault lies with the server, but it would be nice if the alert box were to show a more informative answer, such as "Your server doesn't support FTP REST, which is required for Expandrive to work properly. Please notify your hosting provider." (Or something.)
SFTP is better anyway.
I’m wish it worked, but whatever
