ExpandDrive "pinwheels" Textmate whenever nagivating from a browswer back to Textmate... seemingly for reindexing. Slow even on expensive, high bandwidth internet connections.
How to improve ExpanDrive's speed/performance reindexing of a project file tree in textmate? I have a 16Mbit connection (2Mbit upstream) and whenever navigating back to Textmate from a browser, I get the Mac OS X rainbow "pinwheel" seemingly until ExpandDrive reindexes the whole project and checks for diff's, etc. This delay is extremely annoying and slows down my development speed. If this problem, along with the erroneous file truncation problem, were solved ExpanDrive would make a ton of $$$. And yes, I'm not stupid in the sense that no, I don't have downloads/torrents/whatever running on my network... essentially zero internet traffic and ExpandDrive still causes Textmate to pinwheel reindex creating a 2-5 second delay until I can edit the file in question again.

It’s a TextMate plugin that lets you disable the “refresh on focus” feature.
Also, we’re currently beta testing a complete rewrite of our SFTP transport layer. So far, no one has found any data corruption issues, even when mucking with files remotely on the server in addition to ExpanDrive. If you’re interested in giving it a try, send an email to support.
