ExpandDrive SFTP2 Beta Driver corrupts Photoshop .psd files.
I created some photoshop files for web use that were fairly complex and saved them using ExpandDrive SFTP stable. Later on, I began using the beta driver because your staff had noted that the file truncation problems had been fixed.
I reopened a few photoshop files, made some changes, and saved them (overwrote). I tried to reopen the file in question using the new beta driver, photoshop reports and prompts that:
1. Some Layers are not readable. Would you like to flatten the image?
2. Upon selecting "No", it then reports that a blending mode of a certain layer is unsupported, then asks you if you would like to flatten it again.
3. Upon selecting "Keep Layer" it then says that "This photoshop file is unreadable by this version of photoshop".
(If I tell photoshop to flatten the image, ie: agreeing with it and taking the opposite route, the same thing results)
I've never had different versions of photoshop or different workstations... so it is not a version problem, the file is just irreversibly corrupted... and it began when I started using the beta driver.
It's really hard to tell now which .psd files were corrupted since the "modified time" field on the server seems to always report the date I switched over to using the beta driver. I restored an old version of the file of backups that I had dumped to another machine and the file is fine (although without the improvements that I now have to redo because the beta driver corrupted the new version).
I'm terribly dissatisfied with this as a paying customer. I know beta is "beta" for a reason, but seriously? Data loss supposedly "fixed" in exchange for file corruption?... and it's not like I can manually open it up in as a text file and fix the issue.
I've since reverted to using the "stable" driver and wont ever use your beta releases again.

I have this problem, too!
Tell me when someone solves it.
The more people who report this problem, the more it gets noticed.

First off - we're really sorry. Data corruption in any form is completely unacceptable and we're 100% committed to resolving the issue.
I assure you, we've had no other reports of anything like this. More important than anything, we need to identify what caused the issue and find a scenario by which we can replicate the problem. The only thing that immediately springs to mind would be another user/process accessing that same PSD while photoshop was using it. If you are absolutely certain that you were the only one using the file and using it over expandrive, there is an obvious major problem that we need to get replicated.
Could you please email us at support@expandrive.com - would it be possible to borrow copies of the corrupted file, if you still have it, or the backed up file, such that we can test it. We'd love to know anything in particular about your environment, the type of server you were connecting to, and anything else. If you could ever stomach it, we'd love to see if you could repeat the corruption.
Again, we're really sorry. You have every right to be pissed. With your help, we'll get to the bottom of this and fix it.

Inappropriate?yeah sorry to sound so angry about it but it is really frustrating to have work "undone" so to say. I'll send you a sample corrupted file but otherwise just have to focus on my work.

Can you send over that file and we would love to take a look at it.
