How can I connect to a remote "drive" via SSH?
I'm a hostmonster.com user and want to connect to my "web disks" via expandrive. Currently I'm using MacFusion but that lacks comfort so I want to switch.
With MacFusion everything works fine: enter server IP, username, password, click on "SSH" as connection type and I'm done.
Doing the same with expandrive (choosing "SFTP (SSH)" as connection type) makes the program ask for my password over and over again until it, around the tenth time, eventually crashes.

Inappropriate? That's not good! could you email support@expandrive.com with as much info as you can muster and we'll work with you on it?
-
Inappropriate?Seems that this is a hostmonster weirdness... Only the "main user" can use SFTP - all other users must use FTP.
Sorry for bothering you.
I’m undecided

Inappropriate?Unfortunately, this seems not be restricted to hostmonster. While I can perfectly log in using Cyberduck, ExpanDrive 2 refuses to do so. With ExpanDrive 1.x, which I used two days ago before upgrading, it worked perfectly. I painstakingly checked all the settings, but they seems equal.

Inappropriate? Can you use Hostmonster and Cyberduck with accounts other than your main account, using SFTP?
FTP works well for me with ExpanDrive for _ALL_ accounts. SFTP only with the main account (at hostmonster).

Inappropriate?I can only speak for Cyberduck - yes, I can use it for all accounts and all servers that I have. ExpanDrive 2 works for ONE account only, which confuses me even more, as the settings *seem* the same.
