Need to re-mount remote drive to successfully save edited file
I am using ExpanDrive 1.2.6 on Mac OS 10.5.3 to connect to an Ubuntu 8.04 machine. I can connect and transfer files reasonably easily, but I am having a problem in editing remote files. I am editing a remote file (i.e., /Volumes/ubuntu/file) using TextWrangler, and when I try to save the edited file, I receive the error:
Could not make some data into the desired type (MacOS Error code: -1700)
Ejecting the remote drive (which, by the way, must be done via the ExpanDrive drive manager, as dragging the disk icon to the Dock does not work) and remounting allows me to save without any issue. It seems that this problem is recurring more and more frequently, and it's getting to the point where it's worthless to edit the file that is mounted via ExpanDrive. Any ideas?

I have this problem, too!
Tell me when someone solves it.

Inappropriate? Those problems sound super frustrating. We definitely want to get these fixed for you. Do you know what version of MacFUSE you have installed?
If you don't know you can find out by running 'kextstat | grep fuse' (without the quotes) in Terminal. -
Inappropriate?Hi John,
I'm running MacFuse 1.3.1. I just downloaded and installed 1.5.1 and will report about whether or not it seems to solve the issue.
Many thanks for the suggestion!
I’m hopeful
