Saving Excel 2004 Files after MacFuse Update
A couple of issues that seem to stem from upgrading MacFuse because I did not experience them prior to the upgrade.
1. After ejecting a volume, trying to reconnect to that volume causes ExpanDrive to crash. Starting ExpanDrive after the crash and connecting to the volume again yields normal results.
2. I'm having issues saving (and opening afterwards) Excel 2004 files. After saving a file and quitting Excel, attempting to open the file either results in nothing happening or I get a dialogue box saying "Unable to read file."
Also in general, since about the summer of last year (2008) ExpanDrive has not been nearly as reliable connecting and remaining connected as it had been when I first downloaded it in its infancy. Just voicing a general complaint.

Inappropriate?I have the problem #1 as well. Trying to use any of the "Recent" from the menu results in Expandrive crashing. Re-launching and mounting the drive from the drive manager works.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate? We're real sorry about #1, it's a known issue with the latest version and we're actively working on getting a fix out.
With regards to #2, we'll take a look at it. I haven't retested all of Office 2004 as of MacFUSE 2.0 coming out -
Inappropriate?Hi Jeff, I appreciate what you do. ExpanDrive is a great product, but I have had bad experiences when upgrading the product. In the future, I will wait some time before performing the upgrade. Again, ExpanDrive is excellent when it is without the bugs.

Inappropriate?Let me apologize too. We work hard to make ExpanDrive as stable and bug free as possible, because we know how people rely on it. (We rely on it too!).
The MacFUSE upgrade was a major behind-the-scenes update for ExpanDrive. We hurried a bit with 1.3.3 because we felt that the MacFUSE upgrade was extremely important. Many of our users had serious complaints about issues stemming from the kernel caching in MacFUSE 1.7.
We’re working very hard to get things tightened up. Again, I’m sorry for any trouble that you’re having.
If anyone is interested in using ExpanDrive 1.3.2 as a temporary measure, it is available for download.
