Slowness when searching remote files and when using SVN
Searching for strings in the mounted file system is extremely slow, regardless of the application used (Eclipse, EditPlus, Windows File Explorer, etc.).
Admittedly there are a lot of files to search through (about 50K) but using find/grep on the remote system returns in a few seconds, vs. over 5 minutes on the Windows side.
Similar performance with SVN updates.
Is there something I can do to speed things up?

If you search through 50k files mounted over expandrive, we need to transfer the contents of all those files over the network for the search to happen. There is no way we can speed that up. I recommend you run that command remotely.
