Snow Leopard seems to have adjusted the permissions on
/Volumesin a way that breaks our attempt to create a mount point. This will be fixed in our next release. If you’re using Snow Leopard full time and you really want ExpanDrive to work right now then send me an email and I’ll get you a special build.
It looks like Snow Leopard also does not display ExpanDrive volumes on the desktop or in the Finder sidebar. We will certainly have a fix or workaround for this before Snow Leopard is released, but we’re not quite sure how we’re going to do it yet, so it might not be in our next release. Unfortunately,/Volumesisn’t visible in the Finder. You can make a link to it on your desktop with this command in the Terminal:
ln -s /Volumes ~/Desktop/Volumes
I’m happy

Inappropriate? After more investigation, it looks like there are problems with MacFUSE which I believe ExpanDrive uses.
I can't get sshfs mounting anything with the latest version of MacFuse. All I get is the following error:
/Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs/Support/fusefs.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) link error;
check the system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutil(8).
the MacFUSE file system is not available (71) -
Inappropriate?I’m not seeing that error. MacFUSE 2.0 was advertised as working with Snow Leopard when it was released. I’ve tried it using both the ExpanDrive packaged MacFUSE and the most recent official MacFUSE package (which should be the same thing anyway.)

Inappropriate?Really like to get an working beta-alpha release with snow-leopard support. Or at least a hint how i can get it working .. :)
I really love ExpanDrive and it would be great to use it again on SnowLeopard.
I’m sad

Inappropriate?I've tried using the i386 kernel and also the x86_64 kernel in Snow Leopard
Trying to mount via sftp on the 32bit kernel returns
Jun 27 11:45:02 Cyclops ExpanDrive[200]: Traceback (most recent call last):\n File "expandrive/fs/sftpfs/Driver.py", line 220, in <module>
Jun 27 11:45:02 Cyclops ExpanDrive[200]: File "expandrive/fs/sftpfs/Driver.py", line 206, in main\n File "expandrive/fs/sftpfs/Driver.py", line 121, in start_sftpfs\n File "expandrive/fs/MagnetkFS.py", line 83, in make_mountpoint\nIOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: u'/Volumes/My Grotto/ExpanDrive_README.txt'</module>
Doing the same with the 64bit kernel returns the following just opening Expandrive
Jun 27 11:47:35 Cyclops com.apple.kextd[10]: Failed to load /Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs/Support/fusefs.kext - (libkern/kext) link error.

Jun 27 11:48:03 Cyclops ExpanDrive[141]: MacFUSE could not be loaded into the kernel.

Inappropriate?Any update? This affects everyone on 10a380, please post a link to the build, or email me a link kizer@me.com

Inappropriate?I would be very interested to have the "special" version, it is driving me nuts having to go to command line to transfer files all the time.
-
Inappropriate? It appears to be a problem with MacFUSE in 64bit mode in SL according to what Jon logged to the MacFUSE google group. Not a lot can be done from the ExpanDrive side if the technology it uses doesn't work.
-
Inappropriate?Hi all, this is how you can fix it:

-
Inappropriate?I'm guessing this only fixes the 32 bit issue.
-
Inappropriate?ExpanDrive 2.0.5 is now out which fixes most know Snow Leopard issues. Sorry for the delay.
I’m not sure how the “fix” Brian linked to could help anyone. ExpanDrive doesn’t use anything related to sshfs, and as far as I can tell there’s nothing in the MacFUSE developer (beta) release that should effect us. But, if it worked for you, then I guess that’s good.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Hello, I can only mount one drive per server,.. two drives from the same server with the same user account make my finder.app freakout. It shows only one drive, and the name switches from the 2 whole the time.
Any clue what did this and what do you need to fix this?
-
Inappropriate?Aleksandr, did you move the ExpanDrive.app application after you had opened the program?
-
Inappropriate? No, the program was launched from the folder /Downloads
After moving to the folder /Application program earned. -
Inappropriate? And if you quit ExpanDrive and restart, is it still like that?
-
Inappropriate? No. After restarting the program and reinstall MacFuse in beta version, all earned.
