Stored password breaks all Expandrive connections
I installed Expandrive on a Powerbook G4 running 10.5.6. Things at first seemed to be fine.
Now, however, all of my connections have trouble. When I try to connect a drive, it just hangs at the yellow light. If I look in Console.app, I get something like this:
2/4/09 3:30:42 PM ExpanDrive[11003] EXPANDRIVE_AUTH_PASSWORD:drew@deloreanflux.hopto.org's password:
And then it just hangs. I've checked the "save" password checkmark. On this computer, I can't get any connections, aside from the first time, to connect after checking the "save password" box.
If I go and edit the connection, and uncheck the save box and blank out the password input, then when I connect it asks for my password and connects just fine. I have another laptop running 10.5.6, and this issue has never come up. What's the deal?

Not sure what is going on. Is you other laptop running 10.5.6 an intel? Are you running the latest version of ExpanDrive? Had youe ver isntalled ExpanDrive previously?

Inappropriate?Yes, the other laptop is running 10.5.6 intel, and both have version 1.3.4 of ExpandDrive.
Something else I though of: on the Powerbook, I often put the computer to sleep quickly, without ejecting the drive (class gets done and I have to leave). While I don't expect ExpanDrive to necessarily recover a connection after that, I would expect that this wouldn't bork any future connections... especially since it doesn't error out and actually tells me it reconnects (in the form of the green light), even though my remote files are inaccessbile. For example, if there's a directory listed that I haven't accessed during this session, when I attempt to access it it will appear to be empty or just continually show the loading spiral (not the beach ball, but the little throbber in the lower right of the finder window), while other files/directories I have accessed will show the files as being there, but the displayed files are just ghosts, probably from caching.
I've found a "temporary" solution, in that I just don't save my passwords, and type them in each time. I also have to manually disconnect and reconnect. But I feel like I shouldn't have to do that.
Also, even using this method, when I come out of sleep, ExpanDrive still shows the connection as green. Shouldn't it at least tell me the connection is dropped, or timed out or something?
This also could be an issue with a change in networks. Let's say I connect initially to a wireless university network, put the powerbook to sleep, then wake it up at my home wireless. Even though the connection probably won't be continuous, it should at least reconnect successfully, or prompt me for a password, right? It doesn't, and just does the green light ghost as mentioned above.
On the intel, when I come out of sleep, ExpanDrive seems to reconnect completely transparently... but my tests have been far from exhaustive.
Do these details help at all? Let me know whatever you need me to do.
