texmate + expandrive 2.0 = :(
Textmate not pulling all files in a project when using Expandrive 2, worked fine with 1.3.4. Also some folders/files in my mounted drive do not show at all in finder.

This is all fixed, as far as we know - please grab 2.0.1 over the auto updater!

Inappropriate?I have basically the same problem: folders and files in my mounted drive do not show at all in finder. More concretely: connecting via sftp, finder shows the tree level for the root of the mounted drive, then I click one of the directories and it opens as if it were empty (but it is filled with stuff, as I can see in the ssh terminal connected to the same drive). So I tried using the Finder menu Go -> Go To Folder, entering various of correct existing subfolders (that I see via ssh) and Finder keeps telling me that these folders do not exist (hey!). All this works fine with 1.3.4.

I'm seriously considering downgrading to 1.3.4 till this is sorted out. -
Inappropriate?I installed 1.3.4 and textmate works fine. still not working right in 2.0.
I’m confused

Inappropriate? Can you guys try setting your remote path to / and letting me know how it works
Clearly, there is something we need to work out. The faster we can isolate it, the faster we'll be able to fix. Thanks for the patience! -
Jeff, tried this, makes no difference, still nothing viewable below root level. -
can you run telnet servername.com 22 and let us know what server type you're connecting to? It should dump a version string with that command -
SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_5.1p1 Debian-3ubuntu1 -
Inappropriate? The problem I described happens with the remote default path set to /
so please take that description as the answer to your request. I note anyway that it also happened with three different default paths in the same linux remote machine. The only common factor I could see: the remote paths were above my home directory (home = ~). -
Inappropriate?don't know what you meant with telnet ... the machine (linux 64 bit) only accepts ssh. Anyway, here it is
$ telnet <machine_name>
Trying xx.xx.x.xxx...
telnet: connect to address xx.xx.x.xxx: Connection refused
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host
</machine_name> -
need to do it as telnet machinename 22 - to set the port -
can you ping support@expandrive.com? -
Inappropriate?Sorry Jeff - I'd like to help more, but I cannot work without connection (your just released version 2). I uninstalled version 2 and installed back 1.3.4 in order to work. I am also a bit surprised with the severity of the problems of this new release 2.

Inappropriate?I am having the same problems. Spinning Beachball of Doom is stopping me from doing anything in TextMate. I already have remote path set to /

Hi Jon. We have a lot on our plate right now, and we’re working very hard to get through it all. I promise we’ll get back to you momentarily. -
Inappropriate?we seem to have a different definition of momentarily. Time for some mea culpa guys......
I’m pissed
-
Inappropriate?I’m very sorry we didn’t get back to you sooner. As you know, a few people have reported this missing files issue, and we’ve been working at fixing it from the moment it was first reported. Some of these people have been able to give us access to their server, which is pretty much the most valuable debugging resource we can get, and so we’ve been working with them to solve the problem.
We’re not ignoring the problem, we’re just focusing or efforts where they seem most likely to yield a solution (for everyone). As soon as we have a fix in place I’ll send you a build to test. In the meantime, your free to use ExpanDrive 1.3.4.

Again, I’m sorry to have left you hanging.
I’m apologetic
-
Inappropriate? Thanks guys. I reverted back to 1.3.4 yesterday after I sent Jeff some info on the problem.
-
Inappropriate?Have to say as well I think this getS is a terrible way to provide support - a straightforward forum would be less impersonal and less confusing.

Hi, I reinstalled the upgrade, as 2.01, directly from the 1.3.4 version, using the updater, and indeed: the problems mentioned dissapeared and 2.01 does look more responsive than 1.3.4. Great! And thanks for the prompt action. -
gemmes - do you currently have beta updates checked? [don't change anything, if you don't mind, trying to figure out why a couple users are seeing this] -- what is SUFeedURL in com.expandrive.ExpanDrive2.plist ? thanks -
Inappropriate?yes, beta updates checked. where exactly do I find the plist file?
-
~/Library/Preferences/com.expandrive.ExpanDrive2.plist -
Inappropriate?plist file looks weird to me, not like my others. I cannot read SUFeedURL correctly. odd text before and after plist tags.
EDIT: sorry I was opening plist with a text editor. thats why I got crazy text. I unchecked beta checkbox and now I can install 2.0.1
