The file does not exist

I'm using Expandrive 2.0.1 on OS X to mount a directory over SSH. Things seem to work for a little while but eventually Finder will time out and I won't be able to view contents of my folders. When I look in Console.app I'll have log messages that say "The file '/Volumes/blah' does not exist". At this point it doesn't but Expandrive still lists the volume as mounted, it won't eject, etc. Any ideas?

Also to head off the question that I see asked often, you can't log onto my box. :) Sorry, internal network.
