Unable to change OSX "Open With" choice on any SFTP shares w/ 1.3.2
I am unable to modify this "open with" preference (found in the "get info" window in OSX") in order to change a default application on any file within an SFTP share. I get a dialog box with an error that I've attached here as an image. I've tested this on several connections across different servers.
I suspect this may be related to the other problem I currently have open with Dreamweaver thinking that the files are locked (DW tries to change the default opening application every time you launch a file IIRC):

The company thinks this is not a problem.

Inappropriate? As a workaround (in case anyone else runs into this problem) you can either find a similar file extension on a local drive, or copy the file in question to your local drive and then change the default "Open With" -- which only works if you want to globally change the default application for all files with the same extension. If you want to change specific files this won't be of help.
I included this bug as a possible reason that Dreamweaver has issues on another big I have filed (while trying to regress the reasons for that issue) but realized that this should be a filed as a separate issue.
I’m undecided

Inappropriate? For the feature to work on Finder you need to be able to set the files extended attributes. Right now, there is no good way to do this over SFTP
The alternative would be to litter a bunch of ._Filename files on the server.

this solves the problem
