Worse than slow...just doesn't work.

I just tried to install the tinymce module on a Drupal site using ExpanDrive and couldn't do it. Aside from being painfully slow...it just wouldn't complete the upload. It would copy a few things (very slowly) and then tell me it couldn't continue because some file was in use. I tried installing it bit by bit...a file here, creating a folder manually and then uploading the contents. Got a bit more installed that way, which took several minutes, and then it failed again.

Fired up Transmit, dropped the entire folder and - no exaggeration - it was done in 30 seconds.

What's the problem?
