You may need to enter admin password and 0kb files
I can login, create directories, view and edit files, etc. But when I copying a local file over, I get a dialog 'You may need to enter admin password'. And when I enter my password the file gets uploaded as 0kb.

Inappropriate?Hmmm, we saw this bug a few weeks ago, but we released an update that we thought fixed it. I assume you're running the latest version, but did you also happen to install the newest version (1.5.1) of MacFuse recently? We haven't fully tested that release yet, so we don't recommend upgrading. If you're sure, type "kextstat" at the command line and look for "com.google.filesystems.fusefs (1.x.x.)". The 1.x.x is the version number.
-
Inappropriate?I have this problem also - with the latest version (1.2.2).
How does one do a 'full' reinstall, as was suggested as a solution in the old forum? -
Inappropriate?Hm, when I enter 'kextstat' in the Terminal I don't find a row with 'com.google.filesystems.fusefs' or just fusefs in it.
I'm running ExpanDrive 1.2.2 (2008.05.21)

Inappropriate? If possible - could one of you guys who still has the issue [using the 1.2.3 nightly], send some temporary login credentials to the server in question? We'd be happy to fix this very quickly by replicating the problem ourselves.
-
Inappropriate?Jeff, I've sent an e-mail to support@magnetk.com with login details.

Inappropriate?I will be looking into this as soon as I get the email.

Inappropriate?I have this issue too, but I figured I'd share some more data.
I'm having this problem on one specific OS X Server 10.5. If I set up the connection using the user in the local directory, everything works great. If I setup one of the users created through Open Directory, even though the permissions on the folder are setup correctly, I get this error.
To recap, Open Directory based users have this problem, but not the locally created users.
I hope this helps. -
Inappropriate? We have a new build that might fix this problem, but we haven't tested it against OS X Server. We'll put up a link soon, and if you can try it out and tell us what happens, we'll figure out how to proceed.

Let me know how this goes for you guys! -
Inappropriate?Well... some progress... the file transfer now starts fine, without asking for a password.... but it seems to be very very slow (much slower than connecting and transferring via a SFTP client like Transmit), and on larger files seems to stall....
But thanks very much for the ongoing work on this issue!
-
Inappropriate?New beta worked great! I didn't notice any of the slowness that Fastred mentioned. (Although my test files weren't larger than about 4MB)
-
Inappropriate?Bummer... I'm still seeming to get this issue with the nightly build from 06.24.dmg.
It's no different than the last few months that I've been trying it.
A little insight into my scenario: works great on sftp with liquid web virtual servers...
My main problem (and need) is on a Rackspace dedicated server - we're using an ftpadmin login that allows us to login to the server and administer over 100 different websites (so that we don't have to worry about individual logins - they're all our customers sites)
I can login, browse, etc... but transferring any files over, give the alert dialog for password and even if the pw is entered, it then creates a 0k file on the server.
As I said, I've been anxiously waiting for this bug to be fixed - trying nightlies for the several months - but still no fix.
Any other information I can provide, let me know.

Inappropriate?Todd would you be willing to join up for 5-10 minutes with us for a screen sharing session [using copilot.com, or something similar]? I'm sure we can fix this, but it'd really speed things up if we could work with you a bit.
email support@magnetk.com if you're into it

Inappropriate?Well, with 1.2.7. it all worked great...now updated to 1.2.8. and a message pops up saying that I do not have sufficient rights...
Feel free to use the login details, which I have provided you with earlier, again...
I’m sad

Inappropriate?Benja -
Sorry about the problem. we just logged into the server whose details you provided earlier, it seemed to work fine. We dropped a file into /Private
What folder are you having trouble with?
-Jeff
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I haven't had this issue since 1.2.7. Thanks. The program is useable once again!
