Ok.. I have done some testing, and it is a confirmed bug. This will be fixed and pushed to live on tuesday with the planned update.
You can still add photos to albums via the album creator or the batch editing mode (add photo to stack, then click edit, and add to album).

Which browser and version are you using? Have tried again? Sometimes if a javascript fails, all javascript fails and requires full refresh or browser restart.
