How wide can a picture be?
How big can an image be in pixel size? I'm trying to upload some panorama photos, but the site keeps chopping the resolution down to 1024 pixels wide.

1Currently you would need to allow everybody to get the full resolution image of all your available images to acheive this. You can do that under Me -> Edit settings -> "Who can download your photos:"
I've posted a request (idea) to allow setting this per album. Join in on that request, and add comments to make that suggestion better.Comment -

We don't have any limit how wide an image can be. We have limits on thumbnail width which the proportions retained. That's why panorama photos which are extremely wide look smaller as thumbnails.

As the question is about getting above 1024 pixels wide, I'm pretty sure the question is about size availbable to the general public, not thumbnails. The current scheme where one either allow all or none to download originals is too week.
