I've already done tagging( for a lot of my images)!
To be of real use, expono really need to take advantage of users earlier work done tagging photos. And not only tags applied using the biggest applications, but also less used, like f-spot. Tools like exiftool could help with that, and probably a score of others.

A workaround is coming, but not on Tuesday. Almost all EXIF/XMP extraction compatibility problems and bugs are related to the shortcomings of our existing "EXIF" parser. It's being replaced by http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/e... which is to be considered the best parser in existence. If you want you can try it out on your photos.
I believe this will solve a lot of problems for us.
I hope we can have this done by December. We haven't decided if we are going to run a quite large background job to re-extract existing photos (which is possible). We have to run a few tests first.

We automatically extract tags from photos being uploaded from both EXIF and IPTC data. Different applications use different IPTC/EXIF keywords for tags.
Example Apple iPhoto uses different ones than Adobe Lightroom.
May I ask which application you are using? Can you also link to an example photo which has tagged that Expono hasn't picked up?
Thanks in advance -

I've been using F-Spot to organize and tag my photos. F-spot uses a comma separeted list in a tag named "Subject" I think. An example is http://www.expono.com/kaiandresen/pho... that I just uploaded after ensuring that it has been tagged. Most of the 3GB I uploaded so far is from this summer and /not/ previously tagged, but there is another 5GB coming that is...

Thanks for your quick answer!
Hmm, I would love to see an Expono Plugin to F-Spot :-) This would solve the problem, because "Subject" is usually used for Title information ASFAIK.
However, we could fix a workaround for photos being edited in F-Spot.
I've registered a ticket regarding this issue.-
Yes, I'd like a Expono plugin to F-Spot too. In the mean time, a workaround would be most valuable! :o)
