Offer more control over the tiny thumbnails

Unconditionally creating a square representation from the center of a rectangular image too often makes a weaker visual representation of the image than what would be ideal. It would be nice if the same tool that is used when tagging faces could be used to select the area to be used for the smallest (square) thumbnails.
