I'm quoting a question from Flickr: "Some of my pictures have a significantly higher number of views than any surrounding pictures - apparently without any obvious reason. Is there a way for me to determine who is linking to that picture (..)?"
I have been wondering about this. In my case it's one specific picture that has a lot of views, and I would love to know the reason for it. Is this something that's possible to implement?

Very good question.
We should definitely store more information, like referral links, linking into a photo etc. Most of this information is accessible in logs today, and we store enough information to make sure "Views" are unique and not being faked.
But, you are right. It should be possible to see who "links" to a photo. Traffic stats. We have ticket for this, I've attached a link to this post and bumped the ticket to have this implemented sooner. -
