backing up bookmarks
Is there any way to back up your bookmarks, complete with passwords, structure in flow etc?
Either to .Mac, sorry MobileMe, an ftp server or even your Mac (e.g. Export favourites in Transmit)
I can't remember seeing this in the first version and now can't install the new one as it says my trial period has ended.
Thanks

Inappropriate? At the moment, you can't export bookmarks with passwords. It's on the to-do list, though.
In the meantime, you can transfer your bookmark data and hierarchy by copying "com.connectionkit.registry" from ~/Library/Preferences. It won't contain your passwords, though.
To restore those bookmarks to another machine, place the file in the same location (~/Library/Preferences) on that machine.

Inappropriate? Thanks for checking this site and for providing a pretty complete answer!
Ok, good to know where the preference file is, so I can back up my names but as you hint at, this would be much more useful indeed with passwords. I'm guessing the challenge is encryption / some method of transporting these securely?
Anyway, thanks again, hope to see this implemented in the future.
I’m going to wait
