Give FLOW a miss, folks.
Flow doesn't work. I downloaded the trial version onto my shiny new Mac. It would not copy files by ftp as I asked it to, but simply deleted the lot, then crashed. Every folder on my website was emptied of its contents. When re-started FLOW could not even open the folders it had left behind. It simply went into an endless "enumerating files" loop.

Inappropriate?Sorry to hear you're having issues.
If you'd like to get these issues resolved, please post your connection transcript ("View" menu, "Show Connection Transcript") here, or e-mail it to support@extendmac.com.
That being said, you should know that your troubles with Flow are rather rare. Flow isn't a "miss" being there are some discrepancies between your server and Flow, and if you'd like help getting them resolved, I think we could do without the blasphemous titles that have _nothing_ to do with the issue at hand. -
When Flow first crashed it generated a "send error report" message on OS X Leopard, which I sent (to Apple). I restarted Flow and it froze again, unable (embarrassed?) to list contents of remote directories / sub-directories, as I reported in my original post. It was yesterday's version of Flow, freshly downloaded and installed (I didn't make a note of the number). The connection to the server was via FTP to a password-protected directory.
I have since removed Flow from my Mac, determined not to use it again, since it both erased all the files on my website and failed to resolve errors gracefully. There remains no connection transcript as far as I know, unless Flow or OS X logged it in some other corner of my system. If you can tell me where that may be, I'll send you a copy.
It has taken me half a day to repair the damage done by Flow. Yes, I had an older backup to revert to but, since my purpose in using Flow was to make a fresh backup of site files before performing a security update for the content management system, its failure to cope was ironic.
I notice that other users have reported similar frustrations on this forum. Had I been aware of their concerns I would have been more circumspect in testing Flow.
I gave Flow a try since it was a Staff Pick on the Internet Utilities section of the Apple Downloads site. I was astonished that it behaved more like a beta than a finished piece of software and will communicate my experience to Apple's staff. It may have "a gorgeous yet tasteful user-interface" but eye-candy is not enough. It has to work.
A further result of this experience is that I will probably stop using the Safari browser. Firefox 3 has the FireFTP add-on, which has done all that I hoped Flow might achieve, with no fuss or "discrepancies" with my server. -
Inappropriate? When you say you "restarted Flow...to list contents of remote directories", that was when you could nab the connection transcript.
As for "other users...[reporting]... similar frustration", this is a support forum. People come here for help. They don't come here to say "everything is working just fine!" like the vast majority of Flow users would report. Take a look at Apple's discussion forums. Using that naive attitude, you'd conclude they have faulty products.

I'm plenty willing to get your issue resolved, but completely unwilling to deal with your attitude. If you want to trade insults, do so with /dev/null. If you want _actual help with resolving issues between your server-software and Flow_, I'll be here.
Best,
Brian.

Inappropriate?Quote: "That being said, you should know that your troubles with Flow are rather rare." Well... not *quite* that rare ;)

Inappropriate?I love flow's interface and droplets, which made me buy it, but I have had issues with files disappearing from my website when using Flow. For this reason I can't trust the program with any websites I work on. I don't have the transcript as I don't notice until I've already closed Flow, but I'll try and capture it next time.
I’m unsure
