listing error
listing errors when connecting to ws ftp server. Can log in but can not list files. 227 entering passive and data stream timed out then 500 unknown command EPSV and then 500 Unknown command EPRT.

Inappropriate?Hmm, what's happening is that it's failing to enter passive mode, and so it falls back to a few others (Extended Passive Mode, Extended Data Port Mode, specifically), which are not supported by your server.
After it spits out "500 Unknown command EPRT", does it continue to try in active mode, or just stumbles after the unknown command?
If you could paste the entire transcript (replacing server and username with arbitrary values), that'd be great.
