How do I add new pages to my website?

Okay, adding new pages to your EzWeb website is easy.

Firstly, log into the members area with your username and password at this link: http://www.ezweb123.com/members/

Then, from the left hand navigation under 'My Pages', click on 'Manage'. This will then take you to a page where you can add, delete, or edit all sub-pages for your site (not the homepage).

To add a new page simply click on 'add new page' at the top of the page. This then takes you to the page editor.

You now have two options on how you build your page.

1. Either select a pre-built page layout - where you can choose from a drop down of pre-built and pre-populated pages. We're adding new ones all the time, for specific purposes. So, for example, if you want to add a 'Hobbies & Interests' page, just select it from the list and hit the 'apply layout' button. The pre-built layout will appear in the page editor below.

*TIP* The useful thing with choosing a pre-built layout is that you can easily adapt it for another use i.e. you may choose a hobbies and interests layout, but you can call the page whatever you like.

Also if you go wrong, you can simply apply the layout again and it re-sets the page back to the beginning.

2. Or, ignore the page layout facility and start creating your own page using the text editor.

Remember to add a navigation title. This should be something relevant and simply like 'Hobbies & Interests', if you are creating a hobbies and interests page of course.

Then a Page title, which again should be relevant and concise.

Then for search engines, enter in a page description that best describes what the page is all about. For example "Interests and hobbies page for [insert your name] website". Then some relevant keywords, for example "hobbies, Interests, [Your Name] website"

*IMPORTANT*: Finally, remember to hit the 'Save Text' button at the foot of the page, otherwise your page will not be saved.

I recommend that you save your page every few minutes to ensure that the page does not time out and you lose content.
