Hello Mr. Muller; What is the latest update on Facebook Disabled Accounts? Have you heard directly from them regarding this issues? I see a large group of people has been disabled unjustly without an attempt from Facebook to investigate the situation. If they did, they will notice many well intentioned users have been branded unfairly. My self included. Thanks in advance for your update and feedback.

My two-plus year old Facebook account was disabled last week suddenly and I did not understand why until I received an email saying that I had exceeded the number of permitted messages in a short amount of time. I was messaging American Bar Association law student leaders who like me were just appointed to positions by the ABA. The students I messaged joined a new group I started. They are all willing to state that I was not maliciously messaging them or harassing them in any way. I have never before "spammed" anyone, and I did not know I was doing what Facebook considers to be over-messaging until it was too late. However, no one I sent a message to would say I was harassing them, and they are willing to support me.

This was the first time I have EVER been accused of anything on Facebook, and I believe I deserve a second chance after being a good and supportive user for so long. I have never before been accused of this in all the time I have been a Facebook user. I have always carefully followed Facebook's rules. I would never, ever maliciously message or "spam" anyone. Facebook's automated system misinterpreted me, and I am being punished for it.

I apologized for violating Facebook's terms of use. I did not realize I was doing so at the time, and when I received a warning it was too late. I have been an honest and rule following Facebook user for a long, long time now, and I have never purposely broken any rules.

I really appreciate ANY help or advice anyone can give here. I know that Facebook has a valid / legit case against a majority of people it disables, but there ARE innocent people who fall victim to FB's automated algorithm disable system because their actions and movies are completely misinterpreted. I am proof of it, and I am NOT exaggerating or misstating my case. I swear to god.

My emails to disabled@facebook.com, info@facebook.com, appeals @facebook.com and warnings@Facebook.com have all gone unanswered. I do not know where to turn now.

Anyone have any advice?

After facing the sacred "Screen of Death", similar to what you'll see when you first migrate to XP if you're a PC user, and having not even 500 'friends/fans' in your list, nor participating in 200 groups nor posting an encylopaedia on your profile, I'm wondering if creating groups that benefit the Community gets your account disabled - I've been getting incessant warnings and am wondering could this be related to the recent FBI/Facebook Worm that is being spreading like AIDS {though not funny, it is a serious debunk seeing that since Mark Zuckerberg talks about FB being visited by more than 1k Devs to its platform}, the Question in mind is will it ever be the SOCIAL CHANGE Platform in the future? Do MySpace, Friendster, Xing, Beetnic have this problem? NO! They don't so why must Facebook make it inconvenient for people to communicate? Why create a platform to deter Social Workers and Media {I'm a Writer / Journalist} to effectively work on its platform? I'd like to add the screenshots here on GetSatisfaction, but there's no file attachement facility - one can only imagine if Mark Zuckerberg's profile is actually valid in the first place.

Facebook needs to Develop Customer service and FAST

I've been waiting two days to hear why my account has been disabled for persistant misuse.. and still no one has contacted me back. I have been reading your forums and sent emails to everyone you could ever imagine. One little thing I noticed that I didnt' see here was on facebooks main page if you go to security, you can post comments to the Independant Safety and Security Examiner. (ISSE) there is a link on the security page. HOpefully.. this independant party will help develop better customer service and better procedures rather than allowing a disgruntled admin with the power to disable your account with one motion.. a better policy to be a guidline. And as well definitions of all these terms of use and code of conduct especially concerning persistant misuse.. (still scratching my head on that one) But better and more crystal clear exactly what are these offenses and what will substantiate a warning.. disable.. or even elimination. I have nnever ever dealt with a company with such poor customer service.. and with terms and codes of conduct that can be so easily altered to fit what they need or require that particular day! Better policies and procedures must be considered.

If facebook is a social tool, and someone like myself who goes online and gets wall posts, letters etc.. pokes,, are you not suppose to respond???? yes yes you are!!!

Ironically, facebook sent me a birthday wish as well and you can ber certain I really didn't care a bit if I'd heard from them... is that considered spam??? Should I report it?

So I urge others to go to Facebook main page then Security and then click on the link (click here) to contact the ISSE. Make a suggestion for better policies procedures, terms, and more clear user guidlines so we know what we've done. And .. that certain response times are imperitive. I suggested online help. Why not? If that admin is there and you're on line and they disable you while you are.. why can't they contact you then?
