#400 Facebook Error
Over the last few days error messages keep coming up on facebook that are preventing me from installing and using various applications. The error message is: Transport error (#400) while retrieving data from endpoint `/ajax/rooster_ajax.php': Bad HTTP request.
Also when trying to use a specific application I get this error message: 400 Bad Request, Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.
Cookie:BT=6ed080d7d9bcbbce7f2ac2877e8946ce1st1373737650%3A1215224291%3AA....
Not sure if the problem is on my end or with Facebook. Any suggestions?

Inappropriate?Hi, I'am having the same problem and it is really frustrating. I thought it maybe because I haven't switched to the new layout. But, I have and it is still not working and is frustrating. I know other people who are able to log on.

Inappropriate?Hi, I too have encountered the same problem, what's worse is so has 3-4 of my friends who had changed into the new layout. Every time I try to write on a wall, comment on a photo, accept a friend request or app. request this comes up in a box: ''Transport error (#400) while retrieving data from endpoint `/ajax/reqs.php': Bad HTTP request.'' Frankly, it's getting very frustrating, I can only upload photos to my facebook, other than that, it's become useless! Can't even log in to chat nor delete my statuses or anything on my minifeed for that matter. Has anyone had any luck yet?
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I'm having the same problem, only from my computer and only from one particular facebook account. I do have others and they are fine. My guess is you said something someone somewhere didn't want you to say and they deleted or obstructed you from using your profile. I went on another computer and my facebook page worked fine, so that says to me someone is screwing with us because of our opinions. Get another email and resign back in. They can't stop that, yet. Good luck brother, i feel your pain.

even using another email address did not help the problem with me -
Inappropriate?Hey Kyle and all, it's the strangest thing. My Facebook Profile worked perfectly fine with other Web Browsers. Previously I used the latest version of Mozilla Firefox, when I was restricted. It's the darnest thing! I experimented with Internet Explorer (a very old version) and Opera, and realized that the #400 error only occurred while using Firefox. Perhaps the solution is a change of Web Browser? My problem had resolved, best of luck to you all.
I’m happy

I too only experience this problem when using Firefox. If I use Internet Explorer, there's no problem. Haven't tried on a different computer though. -
Inappropriate?I tried changing to a different browser and no, nothing changed. But when I tryed to access my facebook from another computer everything was fine. everything worked. My current browser is internet explorer and it's not working. But it does on a different computer, that tells me that we've been marked, rather our computers have been marked. Whoever or whatever is doing it I don't know, but wish it would knock it the f**k off.

Inappropriate?okay so i've had the same problem. but i've figured out more about it than you guys have, so this should help.
first of all, it doesn't have anythign to do with whether you're on safari, or mozilla, or internet explorer. it doesn't have anything to do with the computer you're on, either. (i say this because i've gone on many computers, some with mozilla, some with ie, some with safari, some macs and some pcs. and on all of them, it happens only when i am on my own facebook. as in, never when the actual computer's owner is on facebook, or anyone else using the computer. it's only when i am on my own profile does the bad request thingy happen.)
so basically it has to do with your own profile. i've talked about it with some people and we're thinking it's some type of virus attached to your specific facebook account. but it don't think it's any horrible virus that say, deletes your information or sends out messages to other people. i think it's just a virus that's got a really bad habit of showing that bad request page so that you can't do anything else.
so how do you fix this?
well... i haven't figured out a way to actually FIX the problem and make it never come back up again, but i have figured out a way to temporarily fix it so that you can use facebook until it decides to pop back up again.
so i'm not exactly sure how to do this for other servers, like internet explorer or mozilla, but for safari, this is what you do:
1. in the top left corner of your screen, while you are on safari and the "Bad Request" page is up, click on "Safari", then click on "Preferences" in the drop down menu
2. click on the "Security" tab of the preferences window
3. click on the "Show Cookies" button near the middle/bottom of the preferences window- a small window will pop up
4. the cursor should already be in the search bar at the top right corner of the small window, but if it isn't, click on it
5. type in "presence", and the cookie with the name "presence" and the website ".facebook.com" should appear- there will probably be only that cookie
6. click on the cookie and click "Remove", then DON'T close out that preferences window, but instead move that entire preferences window (titled "Security") to the side
7. refresh the page, and your facebook should be up and running again!
*note- the reason why i said don't close out the preferences window but keep it to the side, is because you want to have it handy to delete that cookie again. as i said, this solution is only temporary, and once that bad request page shows up again, you'll have to do this again. but at least now you know how to get rid of it temporarily, even though it is a pain in the ass.
hope this helps everyone! (:
now if only we could figure out how to fix it for good! -
Inappropriate? For me, that little trick didn't work. But it did get me to the right place. In Firefox, under tools, open "clear recent history". Pick "Last hour." I was back on Facebook in a flash.
