i had s the same thing happen to me and i had to create another entirely new account with my other email address is there anyway to get my old face-book account back it had all my friend information and everything else like all the apps i did and messages i had saves from my friends my email address for that account and my current main email address are still the same magnamaster777@yahoo,com but now i have to log in using a alternate email address at magnamaster777@gmail.com which has none of my old info which is important to me thanks any help is greatly appreciated

my account was disabled, and all i did was take part in one of their applications. which is ironic as they provide the application which requires us to add many friends, which i did (i added 20 friends in 1 hour) and they disabled me thinking i was a spammer.
this i blame fully on facebook. why allow an application to be installed by your users only to disable ppl for using it?

I got my facebook disabled as well. They accused me of "spamming" just because I copy pasted one message about 3 times. People actually sending sexually harassing and offensive messages get a warning email. I GOT NONE. This is completely unfair. Check out my BBB complaint status

Facebook have said the following "Your account was disabled because you engaged in behavior other users reported as harassing in nature. It is a violation of Facebook's Terms of Use to harass users on the site, whether through unsolicited messages, friend requests, pokes or other features. We will not be able to reactivate your account for any reason. This decision is final."
All I was doing was sending messages who users who sent me messages and now facebook will not reactivate my account.-
this is happening to me, they also said i was soliciting others for dating or business purposes which made me laugh. Facebook is a joke something needs to be done!!

I've had my facebook account for about 3 years and they also disabled my account saying I engaged in behavior other users reported as harassing in nature and that I uploaded sexual content which both aren't true. Facebook is supposed to be meant for adding new friends no matter how often you add them. They fill your profile page up with mini-apps and somehow they don't consider that spam. Funny how they say they won't be able to reactivate your account for any reason and the decision is final when I know they can. I've been a dedicated user of facebook and right out of the blue they disable my account. They are too touchy. -

i have yet to get a reason why my facebook was deleted....and ive been through 4 different support people in emails....i got so frustrated that i was like fuck it....im making another one and if they delete that too im going to forget facebook all together. Hi fazi, Unfortunately, no one from Facebook is choosing to participate here. From what others have said, it sounds like best thing to do is email Facebook and politely ask what hapened. Then wait patiently for an answer. Good luck!

Hi there..
Sunday was my birthday and I was replying thanking everyone for the birthday wishes.. and because I was home sick taking advantage of my time to find some long lost swimming buddies...
While I was replying to a friends mail my account was disabled for persistant misuse.
When I checked my yahoo address there it was a warning and 2 seconds later a message telling me my accout was disabled ..
They suggested I read their terms of service and code of conduct.. and i did but it didn't give me a clear answer to why my account was disabled.
it's been over two days now and still nothing. I've called their head office and the girl just forwarded me to an automated message telling me to email them. .. but I have! Now I'm trying to find other avenues to contact them to talk with someone about my account.
Through some research I've found that there is one way.. but not sure where it will take me.. the NY Attorney General who forced facebook to develop an independant security company to investigate any security complaint. So I mailed him to see if he can suggest to facebook more specific terms and conditions that we can follow as well as a more specific code of conduct.. and all that stuff as well.. more importantly. Customer service.
If the administrator who so lethally disabled my account had just used one of their own applications.. IM.. and warned me there or.. mailed me.. all of this would probably never happened. I would have ceased and desisted ASAP!
As well.. ha.. I send a letter to the editor at the local paper in Palo Alto with my problem.. hopefully someone will listen.
I'm desperately trying to solve this cause I really enjoyed the site and have connnected with a lot of people if it weren't for their site!
I'll keep you posted if I find an avenue .. until then.. I'm disabled..

It sounds like you've done everything you can and then some! I really hope you get a response from one of these avenues. It is certainly time that Facebook do *something* to improve their customer service experience. Or to even *have* one at all! I wish there was more we at Get Satisfaction could do. We've tried and basically hit a brick wall. Good luck & keep us posted!

The day my account was disabled was my birthday. I was also home sick and had nothing better to do than be on the computer, I was writing friends back, writing them back on their walls, and had added some new ones as well. From my research this is the only thing that I've done that could possibly be the problem. I've read the terms.. code of contact.. everything that you've suggested and under no circumstance would I consider any of my actions to be abuse!
I would also like to mention that facebook sent me a birthday wish. thanks but if this was one of my problems please remove me from your automated birthday list. I find it very difficult to believe that an online website so clearly used by millions of people does not have customer service is beyond anything. If you don't start to provide better customer service people will move on to better sites that can provide exactly what you do but with better customer relations.

Facebook must entertain a successful customer service that is online and immediate. And if not contact with the over zealous administrator who can so easily disable your account without even a question. I think a different procedure could be handled to enable a much better relationship.
I have sent emails to abuse,warning,disabled and even the person who so quickly disabled my account with no warning .. well if 2 seconds is warning than I guess i was warned. (info+meae244n@ facebookmail.com)
As well I will expect that the terms and code of conduct will be updated to be more specific as to warning procedures, disable procedures. More accurate definitions of such persistant misuse.. and perhaps allow us to know what limits are per use , how manyt times we can log on a day, wall posts, pokes, letters sent and friends added... so people like myself who use it as it is intended.. a social tool. Can avoid having such degrading accusations made.
I would love to have the chance to talk with someone. But would truely love to hear back from facebook. And get my account back...-
I'm glad you got your account back, but yes, you're right -- to be accused unjustly and without fair warning is insulting. I really hope they wake up and start making improvements.

latoya, Unfortunately, no one from Facebook is officially participating here. Your best bet is to do as others have advised. Email their appeals email address and clearly & civilly explain your situation. It sounds like this has had *some* success though it might take a few days/weeks. Good luck!

I just went through a similar situation... the best thing you can do is email every address you can possibly find for anyone at facebook. Appeals is who wrote me back. Be persistant.. and just like Amy said... a nice letter is better.
Unfortunately Facebook chooses to bend the rules however they like, that is the reason they won't give clear and concise user rules. And they choose not to have a support network like customer service.
What was their reason for disabling your account? Mine was persistant misuse of my search feature... funny... that's what I thought it was for. To locate people.

My name is Pierre Berg. I am a Holocaust survivor and my memoir has just been published. My co-writer and my publisher had me sign up on facebook in May to help promote my book and so I could talk to young people about my time in Auschwitz and other camps. A few weeks ago facebook disabled my page. They accused me of having a fake account. They said I had to send in a copy of my driver's license with all vital information blacked out. With the help of my co-writer I did that, but they haven't even had the decency to inform me that they received my e-mail. I am very upset and don't know what I can do now. I had 950 friends and many, people who wanted to learn more about the Holocaust and the camps, I was writing to on a weekly basis. At the very least I would like to get back on facebook to reassure them that I'm okay.

I am like many other users as I can see, the victime of the Kafquesque as you so aptly described situation, a nightmare of Dantesque Inferno's proportions, I would add to that, as this experience is proving to be a nightmare indeed.I have worked for the best part of 2 years to build a page that has standing in the fashion industry networks, I have the privilege of having in my list, some of the highest profile names, be it models, stylists, designers, they are all there, and I am very proud of my accomplimshments, like I am sure, anyone who has worked in making their own page reflect their standing in society is.Now, I have gone thru the experience of sending emails to both disabled@facebook.com, and appeals at facebook.com.I simply cannot envisage rebuilding my page, and with everyday that goes by, I am losing credibility, status, and quite frankly my sleep over all above, most disturbingly, I cannot fathom, for the life of me, what I possibly could have done wrong, my 228 friends all know me in person, I am part of no clubs, and limit myself to about 2 postings a week.foul language and nuidity sure also do not constitute a possibility, I pride myself in acting as a gentleman at all times, no matter the situation and level of stress and frustration.My correspondance so far with fb has been respectful and appropriate, in no ways conflictual, but so far I have received no reply, and fear that there may never be one.Can you please advice, I am at the very end of my wits.

hey everybody, if it's your first time getting deactivated or disabled and you are definately sure you have done NOTHING wrong, don't fret, facebook should reactivate it soon enough. just...be...patient.
lucky for me, it's my 2nd time getting disabled doing absolutely nothing. so i'm just waiting for them to reply. it happened today. oh, well i think this generation is getting too attached to technology.
but yes, facebook is so important to me 2000 friends, 1000+ pictures...yeah facebook sucks when it comes to justice...

The rules and regulations of the Face Book which determine the use of certain features was not very clear to me but after taking a look on it in the Help Center - Spam section, I found out why my account was disabled and I assure you that the cause of blocking my account, which is the incorrect use of the messages feature according to your regulations, was not by any way out of evil will of me and was totally by accident
I will really appreciate if my account could be re- activated again promising you that I will avoid the incorrect use of the Face book features in the future

1I have also had my account disabled about a week ago. I had almost 1300 friends/fans, and am part of a True Blood Role Play group, and this happened due to the fraudulent actions of a woman who was a "friend" of sorts, now turned cyberstalker.
I opened a new profile, and she did it all over again after I'd built up my friends list to over 500 in 3 days. This is affecting my personal life as well as my livelihood, b/c in addition to these unfounded actions, she has also emailed countless forged emails to many of my friends that appear to be from me, but I had no such conversations.
This has all been extremely damaging to both my personal and professional life, as I have lost a good many close friends, as well as losing a creative outlet for business purposes. I have emailed Facebook numerous times, and not even gotten the courtesy of a single response.
Cyberstalking is a crime, and as such, I have reported the actions of this clearly deranged woman to 2 different authorities, because on top of all this, she also has my personal information and is moving very near to me in a few short weeks, and I now fear for my safety on top of all the harassment I have suffered. I am stunned that Facebook would not have addressed this by now, but for certain, they will hear from the legal/government entities that I have filed complaints with in the last few days, and this harassment must end, as well as my account being re-enabled.

i have had this happen this week. or just found out rather. I run a fb account for my church from my BB and now all of the sudden i can't log in. i didn't get an email saying that the account was going to be disabled but when i try to log in it says the account is disabled. when i try to email the fb team the email comes back saying its an invalid email address. a lot of our congregation depends on the page for updates in what is going on, so i need to get it back up asap. please help!

After Filing a Complaint with the BBB This is the Responce I got back on the Complaint form. LOL They have Failed to answer the Question as to what rule was broken and what post was made that caused this account to become not elegeble to beallowed on this site. I am thinking about taking them to court to explain to a judge why I am not allowed to have a account since they are saying for Security Resons they can not tell me. In Court infront of a judge this would not be good enough they will need to explain there actions. Who wants to join in to this law suit?

At no time in my 5 years have I Violated the Terms of Service of Facebook or have broken any Rules of Facebook. I have never posted any thing that went against any of the Rules of Facebook at any time. I have never posted any links to Porn Sites or even posted any Viruses. So Please explain to me how I have Violated your Terms Of Service when infact I have never done any thing wrong. Furthermore I never had any warnings or even any complaints that were issued against me. I feel that facebook should restore my account since they are the ones who are in the wrong.

After 10 years of having a Facebook account I logged in resently and found my account to be disabled. I hardly ever use facebook and when I contacted them the only responce I got back was

Since then I have tried several times more to get an explination and I have never gotten any responce. I feel Facebook needs to give people a real explination instead of using this Blanket responce that they are using. I have found by doing some research online that Hundreds of people are having the same problem. I have filed a Complaint against Facebook with the BBB and now I am waiting for there answer. However I did notice that according to the BBB Facebook has an A Rating and they are Acredited. I think all of us who are having this problem should file a Complaint with the BBB against Facebook and force the BBB to give Facebook a Rating of F. -
