facebook account disabled
Hello there..I just found out yesterday that my facebook account got disabled..(@)@( wat the hell) without any notice..I didn't do nothing..i don't spam or do anything..I wrote to appeals@facebook.com and yet no response...This is really really frustrating..and disheartening.

Here's the update: Facebook purposefully obscures this process to make it harder for spammers to game their system. Unfortunately, they're creating a Kafkaesque nightmare for the thousands of innocents who get caught in their web. As a first step in demystifying this process I've posted a list of reasons your account may have been shut down:

There's a note under that post describing the standard resolution path, which today is limited to sending emails into their customer support black hole and hoping for the best. We're hoping that with your help we can get them to reconsider this cold, authoritarian process that considers users guilty until proven innocent (as Glenda Kwek of the Sydney Morning Herald put it in her poston this issue).

I am writing on the subject of Marco Mendoza, facebook uid: 535936786 who had his Facebook account disabled on Feb 05,2010, for reasons unknown. Please reactivate his account as he is a very active Facebook user and a good friend to many in the community. He is greatly missed as he has good social skills .

Inappropriate?my account was disabled, I sent several emails to disabled@facebook.com and appeals@facebook.com and got no response after several days. How long should I wait? I do not think whatever violation I made was that serious, it just got flagged for some odd reason. If they took the time to see that I was a long standing member, maybe they would not be so quick to delete loyal people. Any help?

Hi.....I have been disabled 1 month today.......I am a 66 year old grandma who is newly retired and had a total knee replacement. I joined facebook so I could stay in touch with family and friends.....only a member for about 2 months and bam....disabled. I sure do not know what went wrong. As far as how long should u wait.....that is a good question....I have even cried. I am still waiting and I email everyday...no response. Good Luck -

A few days ago my facebook account has been disabled,
I can only think of 1 reason for this. i changed my facebook account name to match my MAFIA WARS ACCOUNT, I HAVE BEEN A LONG TIME PLAYER AND MEMBER TO FACEBOOK AND I HAVE PAID A LOT OF MONEY TO MAFIA WARS(ZYNGA)
I didnt know it was wrong to do, i saw many users who have nic names on facebook and assumed it was ok. i have read through your rules carefully and understood that i made a mistake, can someone please get back to me regarding this problem, have i lost THIS ACCOUNT FOREVER? DO I NEED TO PAY MONEY TO GET IT BACK? if so please let me know. i am very sorry for this mistake.

Inappropriate?After 4 weeks, I got my account back. There was a problem with a photo that they deemed inappropriate although everything that needed to be covered was so, but I guess it still fell in their definition of inappropriate. After finding this forum, I wrote, almost daily, the same email over and over to appeals@facebook.com (among dozens of others) and apologized for the photo, acted contrite, etc., and I finally got an email back today that my account was reinstated. Was very thrilled, so yes, keep trying. The exact email reply was from appeals+0xj3gre@support.facebook.com and the sender was named Arwen but that is not one that I had sent an email to; just send one to appeals@facebook.com and be very polite. It actually worked!

Well, I did email all of FB's addresses, but they still didn't reply back. Even if I'm super polite in the emails. 2 weeks ago, I emailed the appeals, they emailed me back saying that it's their final decision to not reinstate my account because they still think I'm a fake account. They even banned my friends and family for joining the group to get me back. -
Inappropriate?I gave up my ambitions to getting the old accounts and the pages affilatated with them. The beast we see as Facebook is not going to change unless a very large number of users make this an issue that will make a dent in their image as a social networking power. At that point when the world is looking at them like hey how can do disable grandma like that, and the former student, or business person networking with old friends and potential customers.

Inappropriate?I'm trying to think of words I can post...... Are these arrogant dudes out of their mind. This alone makes it a NO BRAINER to go to Google for whatever is going on. I lost a 680 member account and five games built up over the last 6 months. What jerks! Don't bother changing, inventing, or making your grandiose explanations. You lured us in and now we all now that you are phony crooks. May you all be blessed with jello wankers.

Inappropriate?I am not sure why so many seemed to get disabled over the last little while but maybe FB should think maybe due to their stupid new look there were glitches and people got disabled that were just on there playing games. The only warning I got was something about ignoring gifts which I sure wasn't doing since I play the games.. Next thing I know my account is disabled. I can't get an answer from them on why or what I did. Definitely no porno and just on there playing games with friends and family.. I am so pissed off as some think I am upset with them as they have noticed I am not on their friends list now.. Why do they not realize that their glitches can cause hurt between friends and family.
