Facebook Frustration
Hey
For the past 3 weeks i have been un able to log into my Facebook account.
I have been emailing Facebook and using their Help system to ry and solve the problem. i have done everything that the help system offer's but it still didnt help.
every time i log in it says i
"Incorrect Email/Password Combination
Facebook passwords are case sensitive. Please check your CAPS lock key. You may also try clearing your browser's cache and cookies by following these instructions."
then since i cant do anything with the instructions that i should follow. i resort to the
"Forgot your password?"
below the log in. i get email's every day saying im getting messges from friends but i cannot reply for i cannot log in.

I understand your frustration..i was in the exact same situation as you, and did everything you did. I emailed fbook (abuse, info, login, warning, disabled, etc)numerous times every day for several days without any reply.
THEN!!!
I sent a message to abuse+dt17u8y@facebook.com
and I got a reply from someone called jackson within 20 minutes...although the reply was from abuse+duw8ylb@facebook.com.
This is what they sent me:

I suggest you email abuse+dt17u8y@facebook.com ASAP and hopefully your problem will be solved in no time like mine. Put 419 scam in the title. Issues like these are more serious than others and will likely get a quicker response.

p.s unfortunately for me, when i logged into my account, i found that the hacked deletedt ALL my information. he/she deleted all my
pictures, most of my wall posts, all my friends, my inbox was cleared, all the groups I had joined were gone.....it pretty much looks like I just joined fbook.
Adding all those friends again is going to be an enormous load of
work. i also noticed the hacker blocked a few of my friends and added another email to the emails associated with my account...i guess that is how they were able to control my account. if ure account is restored, make sure you remove this extra email (if you find that someone else added an email....u will find this info under account settings).

Please remember to check your account settings (VERY IMPORTANT) and delete any foreign email this person may have added....in addition to strengthening your facebook password, make sure you also change the password to ALL your email accounts, as it is likely they gained access to your FB account through your email.

need more patience with this.
i was a little bit hoping when they reply my email and ask about the correspondence but now they make that hope gone.

Inappropriate?hopefully this works for me...I have had the same issue for about 2 weeks now.
I emailed the suggested email above and received a message from June saying she will forward the email to the dept. that can help.
Then she said to use FB help site for future issues.
AS IF I didn't go to that site originally. Maybe if they actually answered us we wouldn't have to track them down like this! -
Inappropriate?Wow, I guess I'm a little more patient than some of you, because I have had this problem for a month and still haven't gotten a response. I had the exact same problem as the original poster and sent a message to facebook about the problem once or twice a week from their help page. Sometimes I would get a response back saying that my message had been received, sometimes I wouldn't. One time I got a response back saying that the email account I mentioned was not associated with an account, though i had been receiving notifications from that email address daily. WTF?!
My account has likely been compromised, but I'm not sure because I can't log in to see anything! My friends haven't said they have gotten bogus messages from my account, so I don't know. I will try the method above and let you know what happens.

I'm sorry for circumventing the usual help channels for facebook but I'm at
a loss here. I have been contacting facebook through the help pages for
over a month and haven't gotten anywhere. When I try to log in to facebook,
I get an error saying that my username / password is incorrect. I know for
a fact it is not. Yes, I have checked my capslock key. I have sent a
message through the facebook help system under every available reason listed
that I could not log in. Sometimes I get a message back saying that my
message has been received, sometimes I don't. I have tried resetting the
password but I never get the confirmation email. I am still getting
notifications in my email inbox from facebook that people have sent me a
friend request or I've been tagged in a photo. At one point I got a message
back saying that the email address I submitted as my log in address is not
associated with any account. Well that's just ridiculous because that is
the email address from which I get my facebook notifications. I replied to
that message but didn't receive anything back.
I understand that it isn't reasonable for you to support your userbase with
phone support, but I shouldn't have to go a month without getting a
response. It is likely that my account has been hacked, and I just want to
get it back. I would like to have all my photos and content intact, but at
this point I don't care if I have to start from scratch as long as I get it
back. I have been patient and not created a new account. However, if you
expect people to not create a new account then I would expect you to be more
prompt in addressing your help requests.

[Day 42 of the quest to access my facebook page]
So I still have not gotten any response from facebook. Yesterday i tried replying again directly to the response I got in my comment above, but haven't heard anything yet. It seems like any requests from me are just dropping off the edge of the world never to be heard from again. A blackhole, another dimension, alternate universe, the Phantom Zone, the Null Void, take your pick.
It's really sad that facebook, as large as it is, doesn't have a better support system. I work for an engineering company and all of our support requests go into a queue and all issues, both open and closed, can be searched. I'm sure facebook has a similar system, and perhaps the volume of support requests they get is enormous, but clearly the system is broken if it takes over a month to get back to someone.
If anyone knows how I can directly contact facebook or make things move faster, please let me know! :-\ -

I had to email that address two or three times, but FINALLY they responded with this:

Login: xxxxxxxxx
New Password: xxxxxxxx
Please note that Facebook passwords are case sensitive (FACEbook is not the same
as facebook). If you're having trouble with this login/password combination, I
suggest copying and pasting the login and password into the appropriate fields.
Once logged in, you can change your password from the "Settings" tab of the
Account page. Let me know if you have any questions.
