facebook mobile not sending updates for a specific friend

I cant get facebook mobile status updates for a specific friend. I am subscribed to their status updates but it does not get sent to my mobile. I get their comments or new messages, but not status updates. I have unsubscribed, subscribed, even uninstalled and reinstalled facebook mobile. I get status updates for other friends, just not this one. Please help?
