facebook runs extremely SLOW

Update your version of internet explorer, it helped!

It loads slow on all of my browsers, IE Chrome and FF

It loads slow and almost stand still on IE and FF

This just started for me. It's extremely irritating! And I did upgrade my browser last night...and that's not helped at all. It would just be nice to be able to contact someone directly. The Help page definitely sucks.

Wow, facebook sucks! It's been running slow for about a week for me now! I can't even get to any of my friend's pages because it takes like 5 minutes to load each one. I don't have that kind of time! If this isn't fixed within a week, I'm going to eventually stop bothering to check FB. Not worth it. :(

Same problem for the last few days. I tried it on a different computer and had the same problem. And it doesn't seem to be my account specifically because the login page lagged just as bad. I was hoping it wasn't my internet settings/firewall or something, which would be complicated to figure out.

So annoying! I just wanted a study break. Now I'm just frustrated, haha. Oh well...good luck to you guys.

I am having the same situation. I have tried in FF IE8 and Flock all are slow. IE doesnt even come up. My financee is also having the same issue in IE, that it doesnt even show. Tired clearing cache and that helps but when you go back in nothing. I feel that it is a Facebook issue nothing on our end. I took down all firewalls and Security and still nothing. Just have to wait and hope that they fix the issue.

I'm right there with all of you! I noticed it was starting to run slow about 4 days ago. I did a little searching online & read that a reason it's running slow might be due to all the applications. Many of my friend are doing the "How well do you know me surveys' as well as the ones that let you find out thins...like "What kind of dog are you?" Seriuosly, they're dumb anyway & coded so poorly that Facebook's servers can't handle it. At least that's what I'm reading. I'm no expert but this makes some sense. SOooo maybe if everyone lays off the apps things will get better????

Anyone been able to reach the "FB-team"?
Would be really fun to see what they have to say on this.

i'm glad to know i'm not the only one here! it has been slow for me for about three days. it's really starting to irritate me. facebook team needs to fix it, stat.

I'm not sure if I'm inferring incorrectly to the above comment but if I delete (if i can get the page to load!!!) the things I've got "post it to my profile" the things on the left... that might help it?

My face book login page won't let me in and its always runs slow what should I do!

I did some of my own experement and I found out that it was the touter setting wich was !@#$ upp and it makes your internet connection run slow some websites are still ok but some like facebook runs very very Slow

Try to change some of you'r router settings if you got one or not contact your internet supplier....

This is so bad that I probably won't use Facebook as much now, it's way too frustrating. I clear cache and it still doesn't do anything.

A subdomain of Facebook will load just as slowly as facebook itself.

This assumption isn't correct, lite.facebook.com is a completely different product and code stack. It doesn't re-use parts of normal Facebook.
