How do I turn off beacon tracking?

They don't call it beacon tracking on the site, which is confusing to those of us who know it by that name, but most people have never heard of Beacon before.

The quick answer is just click this link: http://www.facebook.com/privacy.php?v... Here's the longer answer for those that want to know where the page exists: Click the privacy link in the upper right corner, and click the External Websites link:



Then just check the box next to "Don't allow websites to send stories to my profile."
