Inappropriate? This is probably an obvious question -- but did you try restarting your browser and/or your computer? If you're still having the problem you should probably contact their technical support. Unfortunately, there's no Facebook employees participating here yet. Here's a link to their Help page where you can they try to narrow down your issue. If you click on one of the links there then scroll down there's a link that says "Write us a message" which opens up a contact form.
Good luck! -
Inappropriate?I also have the same problem, and its driving me absolutly insane/.. it prevents me doing most the stuff on nface book, beacuse it says error on page near the bottom when i got to click any of the blue buttons on facebook
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Ant70, how long have you been experiencing this bug?
-
Inappropriate?I have the same problem. Searching online, a lot of other people have the same issue. Yahoo answers and various other tech forums have offered advice but nothing I've tried has worked. So far I'm reduced to looking at my profile and if I need to add a friend or send a message, I need to borrow someone elses computer.
This has been going on for about a month. The frustrating part is that sometimes it will work, but not very often.
I'm running XP pro, with ewido for my anti virus (if that makes a difference)
Hope this helps you guys sort this out. -
Inappropriate?I will bet my first born that everyone experiencing these issues is running Internet Explorer 6.0. Here at Slide, we've seen this affect our applications (like people not being about to delete FunWall posts, etc). Upgrading your browser resolves these issues in most cases. If you're on Win2k and up, you can upgrade to Internet Explorer 7.0 via the link below:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/down...
Firefox, another supported browser, can be downloaded for free at the following link:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
Personally I would recommend Firefox over the IE 7.0 upgrade, but that's just me.
I’m hoping this helps

Inappropriate?I have the same problems and I have tried downloading Firefox but had the same problem. My husband can access his Facebook and use it fine on the same computer and browser as I am using so it must be to do with my account. Facebook "help" advised clearing the internet cookies and temp files but I STILL have the problem. what gives???
-
Inappropriate?I have the same problems. I can use facebook as normal apart from 2 things: 1) I cant send messages and 2) I cant list my friends.
Yes Im using IE 6, but I really didnt want to upgrade to IE 7 due to some problems Ive had using that browser at work.
Ive also tried clearing the cookies and temp files but still no luck.
Any other suggestions? -
Inappropriate?I'm curious as to what problems you were having using Internet Explorer 7? IE6 will soon be unsupported pretty much across the internet. IE 7 should give you a much better experience all around.
I’m curious
-
Inappropriate?Since we upgraded to IE 7 at work the browser closes itself down on a daily basis - sometimes 4 or 5 times per day. This hardly ever happens with IE 6 on my home PC. And as Facebook has been working at home for the last 6 months with no problems I would have thought it cant be a browser issue?
Ive now also discovered I cant click the link in a long email thread to see the whole thread.
Its getting very annoying now!!
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?I would recommend switching to Firefox if you can.
It seems like facebook is directing their users to upgrade or switch.
I’m sorry you have to use IE6
-
Inappropriate?I didn't run into any of the problems that you describe when using IE6.
What version of IE6 are you using?
I've got Version: 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254
You can find your version under Help >> About Internet Explorer
I’m curious
-
Inappropriate?Its version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.050301-1526CO
Maybe I'll just have to try IE 7 again. Would I be able to keep IE 6 and then if I didnt like IE 7 just scrap it and go back to 6 again? -
Inappropriate?IE 7 will replace IE6, but you can always revert back to IE6.
Instructions for removing IE7:

I’m confident

Inappropriate?Hey I just got an email from Facebook support. They said "We are aware of the problem that you described and hope to resolve it as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience. Let me know if you have any further questions."
Well that sounds quite promising - I think! At least they seem to know about it and are trying to fix it, allegedly! -
Inappropriate?I received the same reply from Facebook as Darren, saying they were aware of the problem and trying to fix it. I signed in this morning and everything is working again. Give it a try!!
-
Inappropriate?YES!!! youre right it is all working again! And I didnt have to change browsers or anything. I no longer feel cut off from the world!!
Thanks guys for all your help.
Darren
