I Hit a Common Problem - Facebook Account is Disabled
I repost my case as a new topic:
I have my account disabled yesterday when I adding new friends. Actually, I was copying the friend list of my friends as we are in the same group. And I know there is limit in facebook (but don't know what is the limit) not to add to many friends at a time. Warning was given in old facebook. However, after change to new Facebook, I did not realize that there is no warning at all before my account is blocked. I search the Internet on what to do, and email to info, disabled and appeal. Now, I'm waiting for their reply.
During my search in Internet, I find many people have the same case as mine. Most of them are ignorance and could not get back the accounts. Worst comes to worst, most of the cases are related to new users when they adding friends or before his/her birthday when arranging massive social activities (like me). From this, I start to think that Facebook may not be a realiable and trustable social network media. If my account is blocked permanently, I'll regret to start my social networking in Facebook.
Nevertheless, the comment is pointless. By the time you read my comment, most probably your account is disable as well.

PS: Before my account is blocked, I started to receive spamming mails from my friends in this week. The mail is a URL link to some porn sites. I'm quite sure that those mails were not sent by them. That means hacker or adware/virus are spreading in related to Facebook. Under the current Facebook policy, I would foresee more people will be blocked due to sending porn material or spamming Facebook mails. Good luck.

Inappropriate? My account was also hit last night. As a non-developer; I can explain the spam/virus/worm to be very bad. The subject was 'Morning.' with a YouTube link that asked, “if this was me in a video.” Upon opening (from a trusted friend, mind you) the message I tried to c/p the link to my browser. It seemed harmless. Once opened the virus spread to all of my friends (+270 ppl) instantly. Within an hour my account was disabled.
To remedy the problem, I have sent 3 specific emails direct to Facebook.
The whole experience has been unfortunate and embarrassing. If Facebook expects us to share our personal lives with them, they need to be respectful of our privacy and credibility.
Don’t mess with our friends!

I had this happen to me as well - 3 days ago. I received a fake YouTube link asking "if this was me looking so ugly in the video". Stupidly, I tried to open it. Several hours later, my account was disabled. I have sent 5 emails in 3 days to the link they give for questions: disabled@facebook.com. So far, I haven't heard a word from them. I'm starting to get pissed because I didn't do anything wrong on purpose. -
Inappropriate? At last, I could receive an expected result:
Hi Kenny,
Facebook has limits in place to prevent behavior that other users may find annoying or abusive. These limits restrict the rate at which you can use certain features on the site. Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with the specific rates that have been deemed abusive.
Your account has been disabled because you exceeded Facebook's limits on multiple occasions when sending friend requests, despite having been warned to slow down.
After further review of your account, we have determined that you violated our Terms of Use by misusing our site features to harass other users. We will not be able to reactivate your account for any reason. This decision is final.
Thanks for your understanding,
Skye

Thank you for that Facebook name! -
Inappropriate? This also happened to me on Monday morning. The subject was also 'Morning.' with a YouTube link that didn't work. I tried to open it a couple of times so they deactivated my account.
I also can not get any response from facebook or any help at all and I would also really like my account reactivated. I did nothing wrong.
The link also emailed all my friends after I pressed it so the message must be doing the rounds and I am puzzled that facebook don;t seem to be helping at all. -
Inappropriate?I am yet another disabled facebook account user. Makes you wonder if it is worth trying to get it back if this is the way they treat you. Even if they have big problems and it is actually this virus that is causing the difficulties, then a little communication goes a very loooooong way.

Inappropriate?I'm really upset because of this. I've about 2000 friends on my Facebook list. I'll lost few hundreds friends as I don't have another way to contact them.

Inappropriate?Wtf, they can't do that!
Idk, those prick admin-fags at facebook, they can get around that crap. They disabled mine for BS reason. I hope I find one of them some day, I'm pissed.

Inappropriate?Heya,
the same thing happened to me- it took a week for it to come back. I emailed warning@facebook.com and got a reply from appeals+nznfemn@facebook.com .. they wrote:
Hi Katie, Facebook has limits in place to prevent behavior that other users may find annoying or abusive. These limits restrict the rate at which you can use certain features on the site, including the message feature. Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with the specific rates that have been deemed abusive. Your account was disabled because you exceeded Facebook's limits on multiple occasions, despite having been warned to slow down. However, after reviewing your situation, we have reconfirmed your account and you should now be able to access it again. Please be aware that if your account is disabled again, we will not be able to reactivate it. While using the message feature, keep in mind that it's possible to run into a block based on how many messages you send and how fast you send them. It's also possible to be blocked when either starting a new message thread or replying to a message. Lastly, deleting old messages will not allow you to send more messages. When you are allowed to resume using the message feature, please proceed with caution to avoid hitting the limit again. For future reference, keep in mind that the Inbox functionality is not intended for the purpose of having live conversations with people. If you would like to do this, I recommend using the Facebook Chat feature. You can see which friends are online by clicking the Online Friends button at the bottom right of any Facebook page. A green dot will appear next to a friend who is online and available to chat, and a moon will appear next to a friend who is currently idle. On profiles and anywhere else on the site, clicking on a chat icon will start a conversation with that person. To send a chat message you can simply type your message and then press "Enter" or "Return" on your computer keyboard. Please note you can only message with your confirmed friends using Facebook Chat. Let me know if you have further questions. Thank you for your cooperation, CynthiaUser OperationsFacebook

Inappropriate?Kenny, Did you ever find a number for a person to talk to? Is the phone number 415-467-2300 a valid customer service number?
Dean -
that number is invalid. You can call 650 853 1300 but you will only get a machine where you can leave a message -
Inappropriate? My Facebook account has been disabled, FIVE times in the past 12 weeks!!! This "rates limits' thing- too many people view my page I guess. I have around 2,300 friends and they started a group on my behalf "Stop disabling Dot Stein's facebook account" yet it doesn't seem to help.
Facebook likes to play GOD and disable people without warning, without explanation and without an apology when/if they do reinstate your page.
I am SICK of this!! Myspace has much more freedom!!
