My account was disabled with no reasoning

I have done just that. I however logged into my account again it now works. I wasn't really given an explanation as to why I was disabled in the first place. But I am still trying to talk to them to get some more information.

I do suggest you email them again to see what is going on. If not try sending an email to appeals@facebook.com

How long did the whole process take for you?

Yes I emailed there as well as disabled@facebook.com but never got anything from the other emails. Although I can't really give you a timeline since the first email I used to email them block their replies (spam filter) I tried again with the new email and it took a day or two :)

Why do all the accounts get deactivated? Do they assume users are fake? WTF?! Why does it take so long to get re-activated? Are some new accounts targeted as spammers?

My account was disabled on Friday around 21:20. I once got a block because of writing too much to some wall. And this was the second one, and i am afraid, that will be the last. I may have been banned permanently from the facebook. I sent five e-mails but haven't got a reply yet, which i don't expect anymore. Well i can have another account or make my friend list again but i don't understand why these people are still doing this, ban for no or stupid reasons. Anyway let's find another way to communicate better and more permanent than facebook lol :)

I think sites like Facebook and MySpace assume that everyone is a spammer... I heard MySpace dropped like 30,000 users for no reason... It seems like everyone these days are paranoid.

i got disabled on facebook i want to get back on

I was disabled about 3 days ago. I played the game of owned and reported people who posted pornographic content and nudity and also people who were manipulating the game with micro coding.
I also posted on the main page of owned to support others, by telling them to report to abuse@facebook.com. Well within 2 days I had my account disabled, without warning. I asked them why and they replied that it was an offense to use fake names and scripts. I am guessing that scripts are like macro coding. This was their reasoning.
Now okay i did use Rocket Rod and my real name is Rod Jones. So I looked up their terms of use and it is only the real serious abusive type stuff that people should be terminated without warning. Using Rocket in my name is the only thing I did wrong and I explained that I work with teenagers and did not want them finding me on facebook. But am happy to change my user name to my real name.
I am confident that someone has set me up and they did not check the report out before they disabled my account. This is not right and I was wondering if there was anything you guys on here could do to help me.
I objected to facebook about this and have had an email from appeals since and they are looking into it.

My a/c was disabled and have had no response in 3 days.

Same thing for me... I just realized there is a tab on their security tab on the main page. it's a little hidden but click on the "click here" words to send a complaint to the ISSE. They are independant advisor .. so it's gotta start somewhere..

2 days no response.. it was my birthday the day my accont was disabled.. I had been writing back friends, posting thanks on their walls for the birthday wishes.. catching up. You know the routine! Ironically and this is the real kicker, I got a birthday email from facebook .. I think I"m going to complain of the spam they're sending me.
I was posting on a friends wall or writing a letter and all of a sudden.. I was disabled.

I went to my yahoo account and low and behold there was a warning. and two seconds later a letter that told me my account was disabled.

I'm really kinda pissed. If facebook had sent me a birthday email then why in the heck didn't they ask me why I was using the site so much???

There's a lot to be improve upon and if facebook doesnt' watch it someone is going to come up with a social tool that you can just move your profile from facebook to it.. and with much better customer service..

Similar Problem here.. Their customer service is non-existant. I'd really like to hear from people who've had successful resolution, but it annoys me that we get next to no warning. I mean, imagine a road where the speed limit changes, where drivers aren't allowed to know what the limit is, and where they get banned from driving that road (and the contents of their car confiscated) if they break that limit. It's not an unfair analogy, and one that'd cause a torrent of outrage.

My account was deactivated without warning or notice due to my somewhat unusual name. Rather than ask me to confirm my identity or issue me a warning, they just deactivated my profile and didn't tell me. I didn't know I was deactivated until I attempted to log in and couldn't.

In my case, it seems like we're progressing towards resolution, but the progress is painfully slow relative to anything else I've done online.

My advice to people is to send email to disabled@facebook.com with a CC to appeals@facebook.com and ask why your account is deactivated. In a few days (!!!) they will probably send you a form letter via email explaining the reason in vague terms. Then, you can respond accordingly

If you're highly confident that the deactivation is because they assumed you have a fake name (maybe your name is Dick Butkus, for example, and they think you're just making a crude pun), then I would skip the above step and instead send an email to disabled@facebook.com with CC to idrequests@facebook.com explaining that your name is in fact what you said it was. Attach a scanned copy of your State ID or Driver's License with the personal information blotted out. That way, you will skip a step or two in their long and tedious process of verifying your identity.

Of course, I can't guarantee that this will work for you since they haven't actually reactivated my account yet. But this method has gotten me from an email that is rather rude ("You violated our Terms of Use") to an email that is rather polite and promising to reactivate the account ("Please send us X, we're sorry for any delay.")

The two annoying things about this for me are (A) that they didn't even bother to ask me for proof of ID prior to subjecting me to 8+ days of denied service; and (B) that they are taking so long to process my request. [Even when I was an AOL subscriber, I never had to wait 8+ days for such a simple a question to be resolved. How long does it take to look at a freaking State ID and realize that someone's name is in fact Treesong?]

Anyway, good luck to all of you who are stuck in the same boat as me. Once this is over, I will post an entry on my blog at treesong.org detailing my inane correspondences with Facebook and how I (hopefully) got my account reactivated.

and i have send alot of mails for facebook teams and i alawys have the massage that "We should get back to you soon"

and one massage told me "we have determined that you violated our Terms of Use by misusing our site features to harass other users. We will not be able to reactivate your account for any reason. This decision is final"

it make me so sad because i seriosly need my acount back
and i see it is unfair beacuse all people who have the same exact proplem have their acount re-enable back

and i not lose hope and mailed them alot of mails again and then i have the first massage "We should get back to you soon"

is that mean i still have a hope???.........is it fair to make final decision and with others re-enable them back ????

did any one have help????
