My Facebook profile has been disabled

I had the same problem, account was disabled. They had stopped me from sending messages but that ban was lifted after a couple of hours. I sent one message after the ban had been removed and the account was then disabled. Emailed disabled@facebook.com but haven't heard anything back (apart from an automated response). I then received a text from one of my facebook friends asking what had happened and they mentioned 5 of their other friends had also vanished since yesterday.

Try sending to all of the emails I have mentioned. I received a reply within two days. I think politeness helps. I apologized and mentioned that I was simply unaware of the limits, and they replied and told me to be careful and abide by the rules, and they reactivated my account.

As it only happened late last night i'll wait until tomorrow before I email again. The strange thing is I don't have that many friends on it (18 I think), so I don't send that many messages. So i've no idea how I hit their sending limit. Talking to my friends on there (via msn etc) they are all now worried they might get banned and I'm sure they will mention it to their friends, who will mention it to theirs and so on. Which can only be bad news for facebook if people are scared to use the system.

My account has just been disabled for sending too many messages, I've emailed all those address. Fingers crossed I get a response.

Facebook have said the following "Your account was disabled because you engaged in behavior other users reported as harassing in nature. It is a violation of Facebook's Terms of Use to harass users on the site, whether through unsolicited messages, friend requests, pokes or other features. We will not be able to reactivate your account for any reason. This decision is final."

All I was doing was sending messages who users who sent me messages and now facebook will not reactivate my account.

I made a really stupid mistake.
I put up a profile pic which violated Facebook's rules.
I got the following message when trying to access my profile: "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete." & "This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

I sent messages to all the emails above. I really hope things work out.
I have a paper due tomorrow and this lack of Facebook is really just getting me stressed out and I can't work on my paper as a result!

Well, this is terrible. Facebook needs to be stopped. There is an equivalent service run by google which somehow seems fairer. If you still need to use Facebook just create a new account. It’s the easiest way, you won’t be breaching terms and conditions because you only have one account working.

The other method is through their telephone and address.

The Google equivalent is called Orkut. Maybe it pays to join several community systems rather than one as a back up.

Facebook disabled my account saying I was spamming. I was not spamming at all. I added the "advanced search application" and searched for people in my area (Fort Lauderdale network), in my age range (20-35), with high IQ scores (120+). I got 20 results, and when I clicked on "Send Message" next to the result, the application automatically drafted a message that said "Hey there, I found you using the Advanced Search Application. Do you want to chat?". I sent the pre-written email that is created by the facebook application itself to the 20 people who met my search string, and then facebook disabled me for spamming?!?!? I was not promoting any product, website, or anything else. I just sent 20 emails to people who met my search criteria, and the message wasn't even generated by me. It was generated by the facebook application! I asked Facebook to reactivate my profile due to this innocent mistake, and this is what they said:

They suggest I was "warned to slow down". There idea of warning is this email that was sent to my personal account that I didn't even check until AFTER my account was already disable... notice it doesn't say Faceook **WILL** consider it spamming, it says Facebook **MAY** consider it spamming, which makes me think that even if I did get the email before it was disabled that I would have continued sending the form email to the 20 people because it clearly wasn't spam, so the MAY would not apply to me. Apparently it did.

It just really sucks because it took me weeks to create a great profile, and now it's gone because of innocent misunderstanding that crated by the Facebook application itself. If it didn't pre-write the messages, then each message I sent would have been different. Facebook should disable the Advanced Search Application!!!

If anyone knows how I can get my account re-established, or if anyone from Facebook is reading this, PLEASE reactive my account. This was an honest mistake.

please let me add another voice. i had been an early adopter of Facebook, and have since been a vocal proponent of theirs. i've been disabled for four days, and have since emailed disabled@, info@, appeals@, Mark Zuckerberg, and Benjamin Ling.

thus far, no reply. my profile was linked into three networks (i've got three jobs) so i couldn't even start a new profile without also signing up for new email somewhere.

at this point i'm not sure i even want to continue using the service despite having previously been one of their evangelists. hopefully the tipping point works both ways.

Facebook finally re-activated my profile. I did as SadOne suggested and emailed them every day insisting I was not spamming. I even went to the better business bureau online (bbbonline.org), where they listed the contact info for the executive in charge of customer service, who I also emailed. My account is now back up and I'm happy :) I guess I "Got Satisfaction!"...lol

I'm in the situation where a few Facebook staffers are targeting me for removal.

Guys, I'm also currently disabled through no fault of my own, but thanks to consistent and ongoing troll activity. This is now the second time this has happened and neither time was I warned or given reasons. I have never used this account to break any rules.

Seriously tempted to launch a website aimed at dealing with these com proflific unfair bannings. The guy currently targetting me uses at least 6 fake profiles, yet seems to avoid all reproach. This is not only unfair, it puts our security at risk, as I have also now had both my personal pics appear all over FB, and a potential fraud alert flag up on my bank account; I swear they are all connected.

OK, stick with it, folks, I got mine back after a few days of begging and emails.

I had to prove who I was, as I was reported for havng a fake account.

You can try: idrequests@facebook.com, enclosing a pic of your passport or driver's icence with any sensitive info blacked out. They do not keep these on file :)

The same Galen Thurber that claims to have been a victim of unfair banning on many other sites? Just curious. If you are, you seem to be a frequent victim. I feel for you.

Like I said, they do not keep this info in file. You might like to espouse conspiracy theories, but these rukles are there to protect us; I should know. I have also been stalked and abused on FB byy morons with no life.

On sunday 3 aug 2008 i had my Facebook account disabled for the first time for 2 reasons, 1. too many friend requests although i was warned but i foolishly did not know there was any number limit! 2. i apparently violated their terms of use by harassing others which i am totally unaware of and they wil not provide me with specific details. I have never spammed or sent/posted anything offensive ever.

Since sunday iv emailed Facebook umpteenth times and today i got a reply back from Kieren saying dey wil not reactivate my account for the above reasons. I have apologised to them again and again as it is my first disable, i have even suggested they reactivate my account temporarily for say a month and if there is any wrong doing on my part they can delete me permanently, i will never make a friend request again, my promise.

Facebook has denied access to me at avery crucial time when i am grieving the death of a child relative, i wanted to use Facebook to grieve with my family on my list, so facebook would have helped in our griveing process.

Im a normal guy who has been an ardent fan of Facebook and i have apologised again and again so please Facebook, may i have my account reinstated as soon as possible. IV BEEN PUNISHED MORE THAN ENOUGH. THANK YOU

This exact same thing happened to me today and I haven't even been at home! I spoke wall-to-wall with friends and then came home tonight and it was disabled. I also received a message that I opened from a friend THROUGH facebook and it was a VIRUS!!! so beware!

I have been a frequent facebook user since June 2007. On the 6 th of October 2008 I used face book for the last time. The next morning I found that my account has been disabled for no reason. To my knowledge have NOT violated any rules & I did not recieve any warnings. Facebook contains many intimate friends, pictures & memories which I value. Thus I would appreciate if someone could help me in recovering my account.

Guys if you see the groups on facebook you will find more than 100 maybe more groups made just to offend people and religions and believes made by whomever , i have been warned for an anonymous group that tells a true story of a worst guy ever , i m sure these people take bribes to keep some groups and delete other i am quite sure i hope someone can suite this website and prevent it for ever

Like, don't send multiple e-mails and just copy and paste the same thing? If so, why can't we do that. I'm scared now 'cause I've kinda been doing this... I've also sent 1 e-mail to 13 different accounts all at once. I'm kinda regretting this now...
