Site down due to maintenance!!!!!

I am so frustrated!!!!

Some people got the access yesterday ...

I created a new account last night, sent invites to my friends again, and finally, this morning (10th day) FB restored my account. I was able to login, see my profile, post stuff, and was shown the notification below:

I'm having this problem too - ever since last night (13.10.09) it's been unavailable due to maintenance and although it advises it will be availalble in two hours time that clearly isn't the case!
Somehow i don't think the steps Facebook is taking to ensure this problem doesn't happen again aren't working! I hope all my settings won't be messed up when (or maybe if) i finally get my account back becuase i have it all set up in a particular way for various different groups of my friends. I have sent Facebook an e-mail but i don't expect they'll bother replying - these sorts of companies never do or they just send a standard response that doesn't actually help you in any way.

This is BS "Site Maintenace" I think that we should all send them emails to FIX this problem! Few hours my A**, Facebook needs to fix this and fix it now!

Hello, My account is also not letting me in saying that Facebook site is down due to maintenance. Now, the odd thing is that I have opened another account with a different name and email address and have no problem getting on and accessing the site. How do you suppose this works. What are the idiots doing. They are clearly lying by saying site is down due to maintenance,. I am pretty peed off about this.
