Well I've just about had it. I've had my account disabled for persistant misuse, I have not received one reply from my emails. I 've called the company and sent letters to the editor of every paper that I could think of ... including the local paper in Palo Alto where Facebooks headquarters is.. I think to myself, someone has to take notice.. but nope.
Nothing ... tick tock tick tock.
So i start reading a little more and turns out, Facebook has had a lot of complaints against them. Suprise suprise...
so much so in fact that the Attorney General of NY has ordered them to get an ISSE to investigate complaints. Well I think... Customer relations is not something to be taken lightly, so important in fact that companies who have not focused on this lost their business to other companies who knew that this was their trump. Facebook fails to realize that they can be easily replaced.. because in fact.. the best social utility.. is the internet!!!
Facebook needs an eye opener.
That administrator who so easily disabled your account could have used one of their own applications to have avoided this whole mess. yes .. Instant Messaging. Why did they not warn me there or verify that I was only replying..
Facebook needs a more detailed list of the code of conduct and terms and conditions, so people like me can understand why in the hell their account is gone? for replying to posts and letters? How tell me? Daily limit.. what limit? That s not in there... something must be done.
so I encourage you to contact the only sharpest pen in the can I call the internet.. the Attorney General of NY!

After COUNTLESS emails (over a two month period) to privacy@facebook.com, login@facebook.com, info@facebook.com, disabled@facebook.com, info+nvcevmr@facebook.com, abuse+dwybo1b@facebook.com and appeals@facebook.com, Facebook FINALLY replied and fixed my situation! The key is to never give up. Just keep emailing and make sure you include the details so there is no confusion. Also, be nice in your emails, no matter how angry you might feel :)!

Inappropriate?Who've had their accounts disabled and then restored again?
I'm very upset, for I've had my account for a very long time with loads of photos, memories, notes, contacts, and everything. I was online yesterday morning, then I go online at noon and BAM its disabled and I have no idea why. I'm sending message after message to:
privacy@facebook.com; info@facebook.com; disabled@facebook.com; info+nvcevmr@facebook.com; appeals@facebook.com; warning@facebook.com;
And I've tried calling the 1-650-543-4814.. I even have the number memorized I've called it so many times last night.. It just went straight to answering machine.
My account was disabled yesterday, so anyone else whose had this and got their account back: What can you tell me? I do NOT want to lose all my information and I'm in panic-mode.

Inappropriate?hi guys, i asked my friend to fillup a form in my behalf under "messages i didn't post/send" and while she was logged it, she got a reply right away thru her email to verify the account. she didn't proceed coz its my account. so she tried logging out and did the same thing asked me to check my email. unfortunately, i waited for almost half a day and i never got an email.
my account is still disabled for a month now and i kept emailing them and asking them nicely everyday about it. so far i got 2 emails only. here's the message:

Thank you for your report. Your account has been temporarily suspended while we investigate this security issue. Our systems indicate that your Facebook account may have been compromised by cybercriminals attempting to impersonate you or use your personal information maliciously.

Inappropriate?hey guys, i have good news for you. my account got disabled oct 5 and i receive an email today that i need to verify my account my logging my credentials at facebook. after putting in my username and password, i receive a message that my account was comprised and it asked details that i only know and voila!!! my account is back, nothing changed nor deleted, its like my account was frozen since oct 5-nov.5.. here's the email i received:

so having my account disabled for a month, i received 2 emails from disabled@facebook.com and 1 email from abuse@facebook.com. do not lose hope and keep emailing them everyday and fillup the form on their site as well. hope you get your accounts back!!

Inappropriate?I am over frsutrated on how facebook is treating my issue, my accout was disabled for reasons i do not know, i have written more than 27 letters since the 2nd of nov to ask that my account be reactivated as i do not know what is the problem.......this is the only site on which i contact friends and family.........i have got no reply from facebook since then, its so frustrating that an orgnanization like facebook that claim to have more than 300 million subscribers lack customer support so much that i wonder if everybody would not start sorting for alternatives. If you are enjoying facebook now, wait until you have got a problem with your account or something that has to do with facebook, then you would get to know what am talking about?

Inappropriate?One of my friends got their acc disabled on 29 Oct for no reason and without prior warning. Facebook is ignoring all his efforts to contact them and everyone who writes gets the same auto-responses. I launched a group to support him with over 2000 members already. REPORT FACEBOOK. Please read back to the comments I made - if no one reports FB, this WILL continue- a support group is great but unless ppl start reporting this activity to the powers to be (i.e. those who regulate these types of networks) nothing will be done. When these entities get FLOODED by complaints, then ALL of your accounts will be reinstated and FB will eventually face charges.

Inappropriate?We did this on Thursday, his account was reinstated the following Monday without any communication from Facebook. There is no way of being 100% sure what gets them to react but it cannot be beyond a coincidence imo. =:)
