Why can't I post links on my own fan page?

i had a similar problem of not being able to post on my fan page. i was using safari for a mac and switch to a firefox browser for macs. i was able to post. hope this helps

I want to be able to do this from the site where I can capture the link, not have to copy and paste. Is there someway to do this? So, if I see an article that I like, and click on their "FACEBOOK" icon, than when my page opens it is in the FAN/PAGE publish area and not the personal area?

hello, having the same question here - using a sharethis like addthis share's the content on my personal page but not on my fanpage. Sharing from my personal to my fanpage doesn't work either or i can't figure out how anyway. help please

I have to do links in my status bar. If i try to use the the link button so that the link appears below my status it does not go out to my fans. Sample below. I can't do the first one (which I want to), I can only do the second one.

So, apparently, the answer is no, you can't do this. As usual, when a lot of people ask the same question - and there isn't a way to do it - there is no answer. There are only questions, the questiion is ignored; I think the Facebook peeps just assume we'll all give up or go away. After all, they are only valued at billions of dollars. Whether they actually can help or not is an entirely different matter. So, apparently the answer is, "give up."

I'll try asking the same question again, but in a different way. I want to be able to click on ShareThis or Share on Facebook, or Share a link on Facebook, and have it go to my FanPage instead of the regular Facebook page. Is there a way to do this? I know I can link on a fan page; I know I can cut and paste from my Facebook to the Fan page. Yes, I know this. I want to know if there is a way to automatically open the Fan Page instead of the regular Facebook page when sharing. Seems like a simple question. IS the answer "no?"

Ok I know the answer to that one...your Personal Profile page is your default. If you want to share it with your FanPage, you have to copy and paste it into the status of your fan page. So, yes the answer is NO. :)

You can post links...you just have to copy the link you want to post and paste it in the links area of your message space (highlighted in yellow) click attached and write something about it if you want in the message space and click "share" and there you have shared a link.
One thing to think about...is that if you physically do it this way too, you can track your clicks better too, to see who clicks on your stuff and what type of stuff they are clicking on. I track all my clicks and I use a shortner tracking site to do that.

yes we figured this out. this isn't the question, though some people apparently didn't know you could cut and paste links. My question was if you could get your fan page to automatically launch instead of your facebook page, and if you could have your fan page automatically get links of pages inserted instead of the facebook page. Probably if you buy an ad page.
