My guess is that this is related to one of the tab-handling firefox extensions I have installed, most likely Tree Style Tab (since it allows dragging and is a fairly obscure extension and unlikely to be tested against. If I open a new window, feedly works fine there.
I value my privacy online, and I also do not want Firefox to get cluttered with cookies from services that I do not wish to support. For this reason, I accept no cookies except for the ones I explicitly allow in the Firefox cookie preferences (a "whitelist" approach). I'd be happy to allow the domains required for Feedly, and by temporarily allowing cookies and checking from where they are being set, I've added feeddo.com and pheedo.com, but it still will not let me through if I turn off the cookie preference in Firefox again.
Is the warning screen tied to the Firefox preference such that there is no way to get through without that preference being on? A workaround would be much appreciated.
I can't get the Firefox extension to install. I'm running RC3, but it's a no go. I allow Firefox to access the XPI, but when I authorize installation I just get a blank window. Upon restart...NO FEEDLY.
chrome://feedly/content/boot/error.htm?msg=[error]failed%20to%20include%20script%20files%20because%20TypeError%20--%20redeclaration%20of%20const%20XUL_NS%20in%20file%20%27chrome%3A%2F%2Ffeedly%2Fcontent%2Fapp%2Fjs%2F10101_feedly_1863.js%27%20at%20line%20number%20684
I'm receiving the above error in FF3. Any suggestions?
With Feedly 1.0b3 installed on my Windows XP laptop, Firefox 3 will not draw web pages in any new window. For example if a web site opens a new window, that window will be blank gray. Or if you shift-click any link on a web page (to open it in a new window), the same thing happens. The URL is shown at the top of the window, but no content will appear. Opening pages in new tabs works fine - I can cut-n-paste the URL from the blank window into a new tab, and it opens just fine in that tab.
Disabling or uninstalling Feedly 1.0b3 "solved" this problem.
I have uninstalled feedly. But after uninstalling and cleaning all the messed up subcriptions, I am unable to reach to my "Manage Subscription" link and "Settings" link in google reader page. What has been done by feedly????
Whenever i click on those link, i just shows me loading and nothing happens :(
Another thing, how i can remove unnecessary labels created by feedly like "Business", "Cooking" etc
Feedly just won't load on my Firefox 2 anymore. Why?!
Firefox 3 Required
To improve security, feedly now requires firefox 3. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please feel free to contact us on twitter or on get satisfaction if you have any questions.
I don't understand this decision. Most of all after that:
When using feedly with my 7.2 Mbit Sony Ericsson phone, it would be great to have the opportunity to have a setting that makes feedo NOT download large pictures within the feeds.
Feedly does not start any more. It tells me I experienced a bug, but does not provide any additional information. It worked around 17:00 UTC, but now, at 18:30 UTC it does not. Tried another computer - same problem. Fresh install of feedly even lacks the feedly button near the address bar.
I just launched Firefox and Feedly updated.
Now I cannot subscribe to a friends' feed from Tumblr.
When I click on the little "+f" in the url bar or the rss button and then ask to subscribe with feedly, all I have is a blank page.
Here are the messages I have in the error console:
[feedly][JSONUtils]native json turned off
[feedly][error] failed to load streets because TypeError -- E has no properties [.../10101_subscribe_1685.js@126]
My system is Linux 2.6.24-gentoo-r8 and my version of Firefox is 2.0.0.15
friendfeed promotion button should allow you to select a friendfeed location for the post, much like the friendfeed bookmarlet does. this would allow me to share things in appropriate areas.
Like the topic said: since the last time I launched Firefox (on Linux), and feedly upgraded, I can no longer open any bookmark from the Bookmark menu. Is this a known problem, or do you think it doesn't work because of something else?
The Spacebar, which advances to the next unread article in Feedly, is also the shortcut for PageDown in Firefox/Safari. This is critical for owners of certain Mac keyboards and all Mac laptops which do not have PageUp/PageDown keys, as well as users of Windows who expect the Spacebar to advance the page, not skip to an unread article.
Otherwise, props to Feedly.. It feels like my personal newpaper.
I have uninstalled the extension, but the Feedly item still appears in my "Subscribe to this feed using _____ " list in Firefox 3. This is the screen you see after clicking the feed icon in the location bar.
