Adding Twitter etc?
I just installed Feedly and it imported my Google Reader stuff just fine but I can't figure out how to add Twitter or other stuff mentioned in features.

Inappropriate?Hi BethQB,
We have simplified the twitter integration. When you drill down into an article, you should see a "tweet" link in the list of actions which will allow you to easily share an article with your twitter friends.
A similar action is available for friendfeed and tumblr if you are logged in to those account. For friendfeed and tumblr, feedly will try to carry over the annotations you might have done to the page. (to annotate, highlight a snippet of text or ctrl+click on an image).
We are working as part of feedly 2 on further improving the integration with twitter so if you have suggestions on how to improve the existing features or how to add more value, please let us know.

Inappropriate?I think she means how does she add her twitter friends feed to her feedly. In other words, i want to see all tweets from friends reported in feedly

Inappropriate?jonesclp, thanks for the clarification. We do not have a good solution for that at the moment because twitter does not support OAuth and we want to avoid having to ask and store user passwords for security reasons.
Question: If we were to implement something like this, how do you think feedly could add value to reading your twitter account compared to the twitter website? We have a couple of ideas when the tweets include links to content or keywords which are referenced in your other news articles but if you have suggestions, we are happy to listen. -
Inappropriate?I think it makes more sense to have the tweets my friends are posting here. This way i dont need to remember to go to twitter to see them. I like the all inclusiveness of feedly. Still learning how to utilize it all but have been a big fan of google reader and this just improves upon it.

I also love feedly's all-inclusive nature, and would love to be able to see my twitter friends here. -
Inappropriate?I am agree with jonesclp, just put the newest tweets on a preference section or at greatest section. Tweets nowadays are another feed of information or links, many people put there amazing links to news, photos, what if feedly could get this for you and show you ? It is like my wishlist ;)
cheers
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Understood. We will try to see if we can push a little and add this to the feedly 2 release scheduled in early december. If not, it will be in the January list. Thanks for the feedback.

Inappropriate?I found a workaround for this issue.
You can use Friend Feed and add your Twitter account, it will add not only display your "tweets" to the RSS feed but also add the "tweets" of your friends as well.
If you don't want all your accounts to show up in Feedly, you could just create a separate Friend Feed account and just link Twitter.
Just use the "RSS" option, unless I'm mistaken Friend Feed doesn't require a password to access the RSS feed.
Double checked it just now, my Friend Feed is working correctly and displaying in my Feedly as a source. Perhaps not the simplest solution, but definitely workable. Right now it's showing the Tweets of my friends, my Facebook updates, and many others as well.
Nifty little discovery, thanks for inspiring me to try it!
I’m excited
