Can I add notes just for myself without sharing?
Can I add a note to a subscription without sharing? Or a particular post I like? Just notes for myself about an author, or ideas I get from reading a particular post, etc. I like to keep those things with the subscription I'm talking about or the post I'm referring to- without having to share it unless I want to. I've been waiting for the option to add notes- it's nice that you're listening!

Inappropriate?Hi Tessa. Unfortunately, the answer is no: in the current implementation both annotations and share+note will make the information public. We will try to improve on this in the future but we wanted to start by following the example of flickr and make sure that sharing is as simple as possible. I will add an item to the roadmap to track this down. Thanks for the question. -Edwin
